into account the opinions of fans, the press and fellow rockers-as well
as our own visual assessment. In the running are the legs of Tina Turner,
Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez (as well as her bodacious
backside); the lips of Justin Timberlake and Mick Jagger; and the abs of
D'Angelo and Mark Wahlberg. Also takes a peek at some of the legendary
body parts in rock history and the expensive insurance policies that rock
stars took out to protect them. (Premieres from 10-11p)
E-Factor's site is online, but
still under construction, but http://www.onelovewithe.com
will be the permenant addy.

10-06
Some more Rock
Star press junket news, which includes questions posed to Mark &
co-star Stephan Jenkins (Third Eye Blind).
Some retread, but it helps piece together the whole junket.
Put ?? marks on the POTA DVD
as Amazon is reporting November as the release date. Not sure if that also
means retail.
10-03
A short interview is in Controversy
Magazine, a bimonthly Men's magazine.
News of Mark
in Toronto (earlier last month) and from the Boston Herald:
"Rock Star'' Mark Wahlberg
rocked out at Whiskey Park and Il Panino over the weekend, dancing up a
storm until the wee hours with his ever-present posse.
Mark, who was in town visiting
the rels, headed out to Whiskey Park on Saturday night and the next night,
made his way to Il Panino, where he tore up the dance floor and chatted
about Savin Hill, boxing and the Boys & Girls Club with Manager Jerry
Maffeo.
Before calling it a night,
Wahlberg sent out for burgers and wings from the Blue Diner because Il
Panino's kitchen was closed.
And from From Rush & Malloy
- Ny Daily News: Mark Wahlberg and his posse, all in Boston Red Sox
hats, drank Buds at Serafina.
E-Factor, Mark's PA has a website
under contruction. E, Mariah and I (I'm more of a behind the scene
consultant at the mo) are working on making it reflect the great guy E
is. The current location is temporary with a domain to be announced.
Mind you, it is not going to be MW.com Part Deux. E will still be posting
updates on Mark at MW.com. E-Factor's
site will be more about his projects (past/present), some which may relate
to Mark (like some roles in his movies) but will be in the most part be
about Eric.
09-28
Next week's EW (Photo issue
with Will & Grace stars: Debra Messing/Will McCormack on the cover)
has a great pic of Mark and Jennifer in their Rock Star clothes. Yes Mark
is in his leather pants! Also inside is a picture of Mark with Adam Sandler
and Michael Keaton at the telethon.
A pic
of Mark with the finalists of the Youth of the Year is online at the
Boys & Girls Club. Thanks to Newfan3 for finding the link!
Editorial from the UK, pretty
negative on everyone, but Mark is
the exception, he receives the biggest praise for his part in the telethon.
09-27
Mark was in DC
yesterday meeting the president and celebrating the Boys & Girls
Club Youth of the Year.
09-26
Found a cool, longish interview
with the Rock Star cast and overseas
figures for POTA. Sam also typed up an interview
in a Canadian Mag. Thanks Sam!!
Lexy found a pic of Mark,
Fred Durst and Willie Nelson from InStyle.
09-25
Final figures on the telethon,
sees the telethon raising $150 Million,
with possibilities of more from a CD that may be produced.
Britgirl finally got confirmation
of the Rock Star date in the UK as Dec. 26.
09-23
News on unofficial
figures for the telethon, 60-80 million people watched and more than
$100 million was raised. Final figures will take a few more days to calculate,
but wonderful news to hear. Screen
Caps of Mark at the telethon
Note I found a picture of Mark
(scroll down a bit) in Toronto on the 10th, so there is no truth to those
rumors (1st reported in the Boston Herald) of Mark could of been on those
doomed flights.
More pics from the LA Rock Star
Premiere from InStyle.
09-22
Footage of the LA Rock Star
premiere should be on tonight's Mad TV on Fox.
Hope you caught the special (and
spotted Mark). You can still donate by going to the website www.tributetoheroes.org
or via snail mail. The phoneline will be turned off tonight at 7pm EST.
Put up the main PR releases about
the tribute.
09-21
According to E, Mark will be
one of the celebs manning the phones for the telethon the networks are
broadcasting Friday, 9pm-11pm. The telethon will be shown on nearly every
american channel, as well as radio station and be streamed into major Internet
sites. Info is very sketchy because of fears of security, so you're going
to have to do a bit of investigating as West Coasters (like yours truely)
are stuck with tape delay! Here's the press
release I posted on the MW.com boards along with E's message.
09-18
Just got back from my friend's
wedding, but haven't missed much. BO
numbers update and thnx to Goodgrl over at the MW boards and Paula
over at the Yahoo MW group, Fox's MadTV will have footage of the Rock Star
(LA) Premiere, including Mark and Jennifer Ainston! (Note this is of course
barring any pre-empting by the networks because of news coverage. )
09-13
Please don't seek out Mark or
Eric. They know you wish them well. We all need time to reflect and they
should be allowed time as well. If you must express your feelings please
leave messages in the MW.com
Boards. Thanks
Some articles
with Mark's reaction to the attack while in Toronto, as well as articles
from last week (Sept. 9 & 6) about the digital airbrushing of Mark's
3rd nipple, his past invitation to George Christy's Toronto Film Festival
party and an interview with Tim 'Ripper' Owens whose story influenced 'Rock
Star'.
Commercials for Rock Star are
up at the RS site (Video
section), along with the opportunity to download a song from the RS Soundtrack.
Picture of Mark at the LA Premiere
of RS from Rolling
Stones Magazine, POTA
NYC Premiere pics from Fox UK and vids of the POTA
UK Premiere.
09-11
Mark & E-Factor are safe
in Toronto and were nowhere near the NY area. Same goes for Mark Shields,
webmaster of MW.com. Also May on MarkTalk
says the McIntyre clan is OK as well.
Interview with Mark by Counting
Down.
More pics of the RS LA Premiere
from Film
Stew.
The second half of the RS auction
on E-Bay raised $14,125.09! With Mark related items bringing $3,863.05!
Wow!
09-10
Rock Star only managed to make
$6+ Million last weekend! Where were you guys? They've made the 3 Musketeers
10 times already.
Articles
on RS Box Office performance as well as details on the POTA DVD!
09-09
The auction of RS props over
at E-Bay ends tomorrow around noon.
Added a bunch of interviews
with Mark by Hollywood.com, LA Daily and Planet Hollywood. As well as estimates
on Box office, the SF Chronicle review of RS and marketing efforts by WB.
Check out the Blood
Pollution site, it looks like a fansite (it's actually by the WB),
has pictures of the band and a clip of the band's performance. This of
course means more Mark stuff, the clip really sounds and looks like an
amateur video (bad sound). Still very cool promotional stuff.
Hollywood.com has video
of the LA premiere and some pictures
as well.
Launch.com
has some video as well of Behind the scene and a short interview with Mark.
09-08
For more reviews of RS, Rotten
Tomatoes has links to nearly every major paper's review.
More articles
on the premieres (LA &SF) and reviews.
Patri notes the official RS site
has a music video for 'We
All Die Young' which features scenes from the film.
09-07
Added my star pics
to my report of the SF screening of Rock Star. I'll have better quality
ones later, but I wanted you guys to see a bit while I mess with the Kodak
CD. Also Here's my Spoiler filled review
of Rock Star.
Look for next week's EW (Sept.
14 - Harry Potter cover) which has a article about Rock Star and a pic
of Mark & Jen in a Limo. As well as a mixed review.
Mark was on Howard Stern this
morning, and as a true night owl, I stayed up til 6am to listen to the
show. Just Mark lamenting on not being able to find a girlfriend and Howard
and crew asking about the numbers of women he's been seen with. Howard
claims, Mark kept on flirting with his wife. Mark then says he may have
found a girl, but then rapidly backs off, not saying where, when or what
the girl does or her race. A slip or a calculated statement to throw Howard?
You decide. Then the infamous call ins from people who claim to have met/slept
with him back in Marky Mark days. Everybody kept calling him Marky Mark!
Geez Louise people! Howard also had a fan come into the studio, where they
(Howard's gang) ragged on her because she said Mark was a major influence
in her life. She never got a chance to explain, but managed to say she'd
sleep with Mark if he asked. More joking about setting him up with Howard's
daughter and the girls on the phone. Yes your typical Howard Stern show.
No cable, so I can't tell you
what he said, but Mark was at the VMAs, some pics of him
arriving and with
DMX (who he was to intro last year)
Articles on the Analysis
of how well RS will fair in light of its Rated R rating. Just my opinion
, watch it over and over again, as you won't hear Mark on the soundtrack
and the out takes at the end alone are worth the $7, not to mention Mark's
performance! It's not really Heavy Heavy Metal, more Hard Rock if you ask
me and if you were remember the early 80s, the soundtrack should bring
back some memories.
Dark Horizons had a link to an
interesting article from Metal
Rules about the title of RS.
09-06
OK my preliminary
report (no major spoilers for the movie) of my day! Thanks to E-Factor
and Mark for a fabulous night!
Some more pics of the LA
Rock Star premiere thanks to Fantastica Daily for letting me know!
A couple reviews
from the trades and interviews. Mark was on the Today show and Regis
& Kelly. Transcripts soon. Mark's on the VMAs tonight and TRL Friday.
And after is a long vacation.
09-05
Missed the webcast of the LA
premiere of Rock Star? Clips will be available starting Sept. 5th on the
WB
website
Mark is in San Francisco tonight!
There's a special screening of Rock Star at the Sony Metreon at 7pm. And
guess who has tickets? Me! Thanks to E-Factor! Anyway, I'm just about to
head over to THE CITY, so watch for a review and updates of my big day
tomorrow!
Karen besides letting me know
about the RS soundtrack, sent in the AOL
transcript for all those who aren't AOlers! Thanks Karen!
First major review
of Rock Star & Int'l figures for POTA.

Note I have the Entertainers
listed on the 15th-23rd, however this show is a syndicated show, I'm guessing
on the time frame. It could be the week before. Please check your Tv Guide.
If you're not familiar with the show, it's a interview show hosted by Byron
Allen and unfortunately is usually regulated to very late night or really
early (as is my case 6am)
09-04
It's a Mark filled day, first
is a live chat on AOL (totally unfair
for the 70% of us who don't use AOL), then he films Leno (it appears later
tonight on NBC) and then it's off to his LA Premiere of Rock Star in Westwood!
Karen has notified me, the Rock
Star Soundtrack does not feature Mark's vocals, instead the songs are sung
by other people. Looks like the only way to hear Mark sing is in the movie
itself. :(
The first round of the auction
of RS props finished, and raised $4026.50. If you're curious, the items
relating to Mark sold for $3008.50, here's the breakdown:
$1,426.00 Warner Bros. Rock
Star Chris Concert 1 Outfit
Reserve not reached Guitar
$1,025.00 Warner Bros. Rock
Star Signed Film Poster
$455.00 Warner Bros. Rock Star
Chris' Duffle Bag

Did a few housekeeping things,
updated the FAQs a bit and added more
stuff to Campaign 2001. Get informed
and be involved!
And by the end of the week (I
hope), expect something really cool and exclusive on this site! And no
I'm not going to give you a hint, but it is Mark related. ;-)
09-03
Have a good Labor Day!
Catching up on the post
POTA articles, I have reports of Mark's recent visit to Boston after
his whirlwind visit to Europe and an interview with the NY Daily News.
09-01
Just checked Regis & Kelly's
website and they have Mark listed for Thurs. There's also rumors of TRL
and Howard Stern appearances. If you guys find confirmation, let me know!
Added 2
articles, one rumors about Mark's indie projects and POTA, the other
is Jennifer talking about a piercing scene in RS.
Thanks to Nicki who sent in another
UK interview from
New Woman.
More Rock Star stuff up for auction.
Key
Ring used by Chris Cole (Mark), Flyers
from the set, license
plate from Chris's Dodge, a lyric
book used by Mark's character with a blank tape, & costumes worn
by Mark, including a silk
suit, a suede
outfit and another
leather concert outfit.
