Traffic code waits publication
The implementation of the New Traffic Code of the City will take effect 15 days after its publication in a local daily.
The code was approved by the city council last December and is expected to be implemented late this month.
According to City Administrator Antonio G. Orendain a series of traffic experiments have already been implemented in preparation for the operation of the New Traffic Code.
Orendain said publication will have to be made before the new traffic code can be implemented.
Not taken in the experiment is the removal of parking along Sucabon , Mayor Jaldon and along Pilar Streets, all busy areas where parking congest traffic flow.
Meantime, P/INS. Robertson Suarez Jr. of Traffic Section said about 70% of the New Traffic Code have alreadybeen tried out in the City.
"We only lack 30% of it, and that 30% would be the removal of the parking area in Sucabon, Mayor Jaldon Street, and in Pilar Street." Suarez added.
