But too late Yui summoned Seiryuu, and the temple is about to crumble. They have to escape.
Yui made her first wish to seal Suzaku's power... forever...

Miaka and the rest went back to Konan, and finds out that Hotohori is married to Hakou, a woman that looks like Nuriko.
They are preparing to fight Kutou's army. Kutou has 3 times more people than they have. But they have to fight.

On Battle field, Yui sees Tamahome and Miaka together, she was overwhelmed by jealousy and made her second wish:
"Take Miaka and me back to our world, and never let Miaka be able to go back into the book"
Nakago got distracted by Yui, as Tasuki throws a sword towards him. He sould've killed Nakago... but Soi shield for her, and she dies.

Miaka is back to her original world. At school... and she sees Tamahome lying on the floor. Tamahome in her world!
She brings Tamahome back home.

Back into the book. Nakago is frustrated due to Soi's death, he tries to kill the rest of Suzaku Seishi, but Mitsukake sheild for Tasuki and Chichiri, and is badly injured.
Back to Miaka at home, Tamahome wakes up and finds that he is in a completly different world. While they are hugging each other near the window, Yui passes by, and sees them.
She summons Suboshi to come help her.

Next day, while Miaka and Keisuke (Miaka's brother) are having a private conversation without Tamahome on how to bring Tamahome back. He has no idea that he's from a book.
Yet Tamahome overheard their conversation and is shoked by the news. He runs away, Miaka follows him
Miaka encounters Suboshi on her way and is attaked. She tries to run away, but Suboshi catches her and starts to choke her. That's when Tamahome comes back and saves Miaka. He killed Suboshi and went back home.

Meanwhile in the book, Hotohori meets Nakago for the first time. Nakago told him his plan is not to take over the four countries... but it's to take over Miaka and Yui's world. Hotohori wants to protect Miaka therefore he charges toward Nakago.

AHHHHHHHHHH! He manages to stab Nakago but not enough to kill him. Hotohori is killed by Nakago. Hotohori says his goodbye to Miaka through the book. Mitsukake also dies before Hotohori.

What is this! Everyone dies!

Next thing is Yui calls up Miaka, saying she wants to talk to her. Yui asks about Suboshi, Miaka tells her that he's dead.

They meet at school, and Miaka finally has the chance to talk to Yui without Nakago in the way. She shows Yui a letter from Genbu no Miko's father, the one who translated Shi Jin Tensho. We find out that the Miko is actually a living sacrifice for the beast. Once the Miko makes a wish she is partially consumed by the Beast.
Yui refuses this fact and runs away... Miaka can only wish that Yui would stop trusting Nakago and save herself.

She went home and finds Tamahome ready to go back in the book. She was shocked. She asks him not to leave. They perform a private marriage ceremony just the two of them. Each wearing a ring.
Meanwhile, Yui calls out for Nakago.
Nakago was back to Kutou, he was betraying the country that he was serving. Kills the emperor, and went to Yui.

Yui asks him about the truth, and he didn't deny it. Yui felt lost, betrayed and stupid as she runs away from Nakago. Tamahome feels Nakago's chi, and went to Yui's rescue.

But without his power he is beaten by Nakago... and dies! Oh my goodness!

Miaka runs to Nakago and sees Yui, and realizes that Tamahome is killed. Nakago blackmails Yui to give him he's last wish and make him a God. or else he'll kill Miaka.

Yui, having no choice made her last wish.

But Nakago is way to strong. Chiriko tells Miaka they have to seal Seiryuu.

Urgh!
Nakago is killed. As his memory runs through his mind, we learn much more On the other hand, Keisuke is freaking out and calls for Tasuki and Chichiri as they appear to the real world and helps Miaka.
Yui's last wish is to summon the Suzaku. Tasuki and Chichiri gain back their powers in time, and Suzaku appears.

Miaka makes her first wish and releases Yui from being consumed by Seiryuu.
Nakago makes his attack as Nuriko, Hotohori, Mitsukake and Chiriko appears and help Miaka.
And Ta Da! Tamahome revives! (You didn't expected that one did you... or did you?)

Tamahome fights Nakago as everyone gives him their power and force to Tamahomeabout him.
He tells Tamahome "I only wanted revenge for the life of hell the sky gave me..."
Flash back of his mother and Soi went through and he dies.

So dramatic!
Once he dies, the world is back to normal.
Miaka and Suzaku no Seishi are transfered to another dimension and meets Taitsukun.
Miaka end up not being consumed by the beast because she defeated the beast with her strong heart and mind. She completed her mission as a Miko and brought Peace to the world.

As she says goodbye to everyone, she makes her last wish.

"To be forever with Tamahome..."
She returns to her world, and picks up Shi Jin Ten Sho.

A while after the examination, Miaka and Yui both got into College but not the one they wanted.

Keisuke appears and tells Miaka that there's a young man who recently transfered to his University, apparentl he has the memory of his past. He was supposedly a protector of a Miko, and he vows to find her and love her no matter what form he takes...
