Spoiler Synopsis

Before you proceed on reading, I like to mention a few things. The following synopsis, might not be perfect, beacause my memory is based on both the manga and the anime. Therefore there will be mixed up in my synopsis. I will try my best NOT to mix up. So please don't e-mail me and tell me where I messed up, cause I won't change anything. Other then that, if you really have the patience to read all the following, that's really cool! ^_^.

Once Miaka finds the young man, first she thought he kidnapped Yui, but he denies it. So she bugs him to help her find Yui. Somehow they became friends.His name was Tamahome. At that time the Emperor passes by them, and was heading toward the palace. Tamahome says that he wished that he had one piece of the emperor jewelry so that he can be rich. (p.s. He loves money) Miaka is either too innocent or too stupid, actually went for it. She was thankful for Tamahome's help and wanted to repay him. She went right infront of the Emperor's carriage and ask out loud for a piece. For that Miaka and Tamahome were arrested. By strategy, Miaka and Tamahome manage to escape the prison. But Miaka was distracted by food ordor and was separated from Tamahome. When Miaka realizes that she was lost, a beautyful young lady appeared and helped her. But later on this young lady was actually the Emperor himself! The Emperor brought both Miaka and Tamahome to court and asked Miaka to be Suzaku no Miko. At first Miaka refuses. But when the Emperor told her that once the sacred beast is summoned she will be granted with three wishes. Anything she wants. At that time Miaka was hoping to get into the best college. Therefore she excepted without second thought.

To summon the Phoenix, she has to gather her 7 Seishis and perform a ceremony.
Anyone who has a red Character on their body is a Suzaku no Seishi. Therefore Tamahome was one.... and the Emperor was one also. His constellation name was Hotohori.

Next step they gather up all the imperial guard to find the third one.
Miaka made the whole guards/soldiers frustrated and they attempted to attack her. A huge building fell on her, but Tamahome jumps on her so the building wouldn't fall on her. Both of them were buried

under the broken building, and Tamahome couldn't hold on anymore. That's when a young woman appears and lifted the rocks like it was nothing. She had supernatural forces.
She was the third Seishi, Nuriko.

Miaka thanked her, but she kisses Tamahome. Since then she was dragging Tamahome everywhere, and Miaka was pretty pissed about that. They didn't get along. But Miaka wanted to let her join her side. So she proposes herself to be Nuriko's maid.
Obviously Nuriko didn't let her "pass" that easily.
It was later found out, that Nuriko was in love with Hotohori and was jealous of Miaka because she had the Emperor's attention that easily.
When Miaka went to Hotohori and told him about Nuriko, Hotohori declared his affection toward Miaka.

But sniff sniff, Miaka was in love with Tamahome. but sniff sniff again. She told Tamahome about her feelings, he ditches her on the spot. Then she catches a fever. She was homesick. So Hotohori, Tamahome, Nuriko decided to bring her to Taitsukun. Maybe she can find a way for Miaka to go back without the 7 seishis. Eventually they found her. Ugly oba san! Obviously it wasn't that easy. You have to watch the episodes to know what happened. hehe. It was also found out that Nuriko was actually a man!!! So, Taitsukun found a way so that Miaka manages to go back to her world. And she did! Next thing is Miaka trying to find Yui. But she was nowhere. Another thing is it seems like 2 days has passed in the book but it was only 2 hours in her world. Once she got home, she called Yui, but she wasn't home. She was supposely to be with Miaka. Miaka decided to tell her brother Keisuke about her trip to the book. Obviously her brother didn't believe her. He just told him to stay away from the book. At night, Miaka realizes that Yui probably got sucked in the book. At the same time she starts thinking about Tamahome. She had to go back. So she packs everything and went back to the library.

Her brother saw her heading to the library and went after her.

Seeing his sister disappearing into the book, he believes everthing she said.
Once Miaka got back to the book, she fell on Hotohori. Hotohori was really happy to see her, it has been 3 months! Hotohori said that Kutou is gathering soldier at the border preparing to attack. They have to gather the Seishi's as soon as possible.
First Miaka and Nuriko went to a town to look for Tamahome. That was where Miaka and Tamahome first met after three months. Nuriko told Miaka that Tamahome was in love with her also. It was then Miaka was kidnapped by a mysterious fox looking guy.

But the fox man actually saved her from being targeted. He told her before disappearing that she should be careful with her bahavior before more people gets hurt. She is Suzaku no miko. She is the enemy's target. They didn't take the fox man's advice seriously. That night Miaka and Nuriko stayed in the town and learned that Tamahome is helping the town's people capturing suspicious bad guys and make money. Miaka starts wondering why Tamahome needs money so badly. By sunrise Miaka follows Tamahome to his home town. Tamahome has a family and a sick father. He does everything for them. So sweet! T_T Eventually Miaka was discovered. She went to get some water for her family, she is attacked by a Kutou soldier. The fox man appears and saves her. At the same time Tamahome comes to her rescue. To their suprise, the fox looking man is the fourth Seishi, Chichiri! NO DA! ^^ I'm gonna skip some details here. Too much to say.

Once they got back to town, a paysant was talking about that Kutou's Miko appeared. Seiryuu No Miko (Maiden of Dragon) Miaka immediatly thought of Yui. She has to go to Kutou. Yet she doesn't want anyone to get in danger because of her. She left without noticing anyone. Tamahome realizes her purpose and went after her leaving Nuriko behind. When Miaka arrives to Kutou, she pretends that she is Seiryuu No Miko (no one actaully saw Seiryuu no Miko). She is taken by a blue eyes man to meet Kutou's Emperor. It is there where Miaka find Yui. The blue eyes man is Kutou's general, his name is Nakago. He discovers that Miaka is actually Suzakuu no Miko and takes "Shi Jin Ten Sho" from her. Miaka is then captured. Miaka grabs Yui and escapes. Tamahome comes into their rescue. While Yui went back to Nakago to get the Shi Jin Ten Sho, Tamahome accuses Miaka to have left without him. Yui overheard Miaka saying that she came back for Tamahome.
