They were invited to the palace and rest there. At night Chiriko got his character back and explains that if a man is caught he will be slaughtered, and become a torturing toy for the women. Chichiri went to look for Mitsukake but his spell (for turning into a woman) ran out while he was taking Mitsukake, and the women went after them. So they ran, and Tasuki and Tamahome were discovered also. So they all ran.
The guys told Miaka to go ahead since she wouldn't be in trouble since she's a girl so Miaka is seperated from her
crew, as she is running she meets a young women, who volunteers to help her leave this island. As they got to the border of the sea, Miaka didn't realize that the young lady was actually going to hurt her. The lighting strikes toward Miaka as she ducks over each attack. The young lady is actually Soi, a Seiryuu no Seishi.
As Miaka is ducking she remembers the sword that Hotohori gave her to protect herself, she pulls it out. As everyone thinks that she is a goner, the lighting strikes on the sword and refelcts back to Soi. She is injured and runs away.

Anyway they manage to escape and got to Hokkao (Byakko's country) They meet some friendly villagers and got information about ShinZahou's approaximate whereabout. They went to the central city, and seperate into 3 groups to find clues around the city. It is at that moment Nuriko cut his hair and decides to become a real man. Grrr... so he can protect Miaka. Three of them went out, and find a stone carved message yet it is in ancient language and only highly educated people can read it. There is a guy who shows up and says his father knows how to read it and invites him to come over. Tamahome leaves Nuriko to Miaka and followed the guy to a bar. In the meanwhile, Nuriko and Miaka encounters Ashitare, another Seiryuu no Seishi who tries to kill Miaka, but Nuriko saved her, and blow the dynamite at Ashitare's face. The beast ran away.

Tamahome was about to come back to tell Miaka what he found out about ShinZaHou, he meets Yui. They start to talk and Yui told him that he's nothing but a character in the book. That affected Tamahome mentally. When he came back to Miaka he had difficulty facing her.
That night Nuriko went to talk to Tamahome, and tells him not to let anything change his feelings toward Miaka. Nuriko also tells him that he let go the shadow of his sister and becomes a man. He realises that as a man he was in love with Miaka and wishes her to be happy.

Miaka overheard what they were saying. Nuriko says he cares for everyone, his friends, Tamahome, Tasuki, Hotohori, Chichiri etc. And he's proud to be a Suzaku no Seishi. He will devote himself to protect Miaka's happiness. (Woo hoo! isn't Miaka popular among these Seishis three of them already falls for her!)
The next morning, Nuriko decides to head to the mountain where the ShinZaHo is, and let Tamahome and Miaka go to contact the others.
As he head to the mountain he sees a big rock sitting in front of the cave and decides to lift it up. Before he does anything, he encounters Ashitare and fights him.

This is the part where I cried the most ever! Every Suzaku no Seishi at diffrent places, at the same moment felt Nuriko's Chi weakened. Something was wrong. Miaka and Tamahome ran to Nuriko, and found him bleeding. He managed to kill Ashitare, yet he was badly injured himself. When the rest of Suzaku no Seishi came Nuriko has past away... Miaka was encourage by Mitsukake and Tamahome to go on, she wanted to stop, but she can't let Nuriko die for nothing. Therefore they continue their dangerous journey into the cave. When they are in the cave they encounter two Genbu no Seishi. Which is quite a surprise because they were suppose to be

dead around 200 years ago. It was found out later that they were the soul that stayed to protect their Miko's Shinzahou. There is no way to beat them, because they are already dead and they do not have a body. Miaka beg them to let them in. She was challenged to prove herself as a Suzaku no Miko. Genbu no Seishi froze her, but she manage to have the strength to break the ice! They were convinced and let her in. Miaka obtains Genbu's Shinzaho, yet she learns another information. They told her with one Shinzahou she can't do much, she has to get Byakko's Shinzahou to be able to summon Suzaku.

So it's not over... but when they got out of the cave, Miaka was blinded by the sunlight, and the shinzahou in her hands were taken away by a wolf. She recognizes the wolf. It was Ashitare's beast form.

Ashitare brings Shinzahou back to Nakago and is killed by him since he has no more use. Nakago knew all along that Genbu no Seishi were garding the cave, they don't have a chance to get in, therefore he used Miaka.
Miaka ran after Ashitare, but lost track of him. Suddenly Taitsukun appeared and told her she can break Nakago's chi by uniting with his body.

Miaka decideds to do it, and get Shinzahou back. She told Taitsukun to distract the others, and went by herself.

Taitsukun told the rest of the Seishi to head forward and Miaka well go later. So they did. Yet Tamahome worries about Miaka and head back to find her. Meanwhile, Yui and Amiboshi are heading to Byyako's city. Yui is mad because Nakago stayed behind for someone, she wants to know who is more important to Nakago than her, she wants to head back. Yet Amboshi stops her and kisses her. Then Tomo, a Seiryuu no Seishi appears and shows Yui an illusion of Taitsukun. The Taitsukun that Miaka saw was a fake one. When Miaka arrived to where Nakago is. She finds him waiting for her. She knows something is wrong. Miaka finds out that she was tricked and that Yui wasn't raped, and Nakago is only using Yui to get what he wants. Before she can do anything, she pass out.

Meanwhile the rest of the Suzaku Seishi arrived to Sairou (Byakko's country) or at least they think. That is another illusion made by Tomo. They were still in the middle of the desert.
Tamahome finds Nakago's camp, and encounters Nakago. Nakago provokes Tamahome, but is injured by Tamahome, and Soi appears and helps Nakago. As they run away, Tamahome runs to the tent and finds Miaka scattered.

Miaka wakes up, and is ashamed. Tamahome brings her, and did not say anything.
The next morning he couldn't find Miaka, she ran away.

Miaka ran away, she broke her ankle on the way, and Suboshi appeared ready to kill!
But he was really Kaika, another boy, who saves her from a beast attack.

She was brought to the boy's home with his family. He plays the flute. She realizes it was Amiboshi's tune! He's alive! But he doesn't seem to remember anything about her.

Meanwhile, Tomo takes Soi, and is planning on letting Tamahome and Soi have sex, since Soi has the power to control her chi through intercourse. This way they can kill Tamahome. To be safe, Tomo puts an illusion on Tamahome so that he thinks Soi is Miaka.

Miaka talks to Kaika, who she believes is Amiboshi. She asks him how he can forget what he did to everyone. Kaika just does not seem to respond. Kaika's mother overhear them, and gave Miaka some soup. But she put to much drug in it. The drug is suppose to relieve pain, and sometimes helps to let the person forget about their past. She wants Miaka to forget what happened to Amboshi. Yet she put too much amount of drug, and Miaka falls ill, and it might even kill her.
Miaka has a high fever, Kaika uses his mouth and send his chi in Miaka.
At same time Suboshi and Nakaho felt Amiboshi's chi, Suboshi says that Amboshi has the power to heal people by sending chi from his mouth, usually he uses flute. But not all the time.

That's how Nakago locates Miaka. Once Miaka feels better, Kaika asks her to stay with him (in other words he's asking her to marry him). He asks her to think about it. He brings the soup with the right amount of drugs in it. If Miaka drinks it she'll forget all her pain. But... how can she... she cannot forget to save Yui, or Nuriko who died for her... or Tamahome. At the same time, Tamahome and Soi were together, and Tamahome stops, and pushes Soi away, telling her that he believes her. He believes there's a slight chance that Nakago didn't rape her. Miaka still has the ability to summon Suzaku. Back to Miaka and Kaika, it seems like Kaiaka still remembers his past as Amiboshi. He says at that time he wanted to die, because he found out that Nakago wants Suzaku's power to conquer the whole world. That

means there will be more blood and innocent people will die. So he figured that if he dies Yui can't summon Seiryuu anymore. Miaka told him there is another way to summon Seiryuu. She decides she has to go help Yui. Tomo speel is broken, and he appears and attemps to kill Tamahome, yet Tamahome distracted him and ran away. Kaika's village is attaked by Kutou's soldier, Miaka is certain that Nakago is after her. But why? She's raped anyways. A soldier was about to attack her when Amiboshi appears and save Miaka. He plays his flute and drove the soldier crazy as their head exploded. Tamahome runs away, and finds that he was nearby the real Saitou city. Tomo appears and capture him. That is wehn Amiboshi felt Tomo's chi. He tells Miaka to stay put and he'll bring Tamahome back to her. Yet Miaka still decides to avoid Tamahome. She didn't know that Tamahome is in danger. She meets Soi. As Soi tells her if there's anything between Miaka and Nakago she'd kill her immediatly. That means Miaka is still a virgin. (p.s. i forgot to mention, Nakago told Tomo that he couldn't touch Miaka because she has a red barriere around her)

Soi tells Miaka that Tamahome is in danger.
Miaka runs to Tamahome.
In a way, Soi is kind of jealous of them.

Tamhome is about to be taken into an illusion by Tomo, when Amiboshi appears and destroy his shell (the thing that Tomo uses to make illusion).
Then Miaka appears, and Tomo is distracted for a minute, Tamahome kills him off.
What they didn't know is htat Tomo has many illusion of himself. Tamahome only killed a fake Tomo. Tomo back stabs Tamahome with his weird feather (it is again another illusion) And Miaka sees that her love one is killed and Tamahome falls into a steep valley. Amiboshi is also caught in an illusion that he is held by Tomo's feather.
Miaka gets trap in one of Tomo's shell, and was in an imaginary world. Back to her own world.

In her dream she meets a Tomo the boy she had a crush since a long time ago. She doesn't remember anything about Shinjitensho.
They become a couple, and Tomo invites her to his house. There he attempts to take away her virginity. Miaka manage to remember about Shijintensho, and knew that she's in an illusion.

At the same moment, Amiboshi breaks his own
fingers and awakens from his illusion. He plays his flute so Tomo's power in the shell weakens, as Miaka stabs Tomo in the forehead. The spell is broken.
Tomo seperates himself into many different bodies. As Amiboshi and Miaka is about to be killed. Suboshi appears and kills Tomo. The real one.
Amiboshi asks Suboshi to go back home with him, and asks him to drink the soup so the fight would stop and they live peacefully.

As suboshi puts the soup in his mouth, he transfers it to Amiboshi by surprise. Amiboshi fell unconscious. Suboshi is about to rape Miaka, he wants to avenge for Yui. Miaka tries to explain to him that Yui wasn't raped but he refuses listen. Then Tamahome appears. he was saved by his martial art master. He comes to Miaka's rescue. Tasuki and Chichiri appears also to help them. Suboshi takes Amiboshi and escapes. Everyone goes to Saitou with Tamahome's master, Tokaki. Miaka went to talk to Tamahome. He gave her a deep kiss and told her that will be that last time.

Next thing Miaka sees is Tamahome with another pretty girl talking. Who is she!

Shifu, she is Tokaki and Subaru's adopted daughter, she took care of Tamahome when he was injured.
She tells Miaka about this temple where lovers kiss at dawn so they can be together forever, yet there's monster around now so no one goes there anymore.
So Miaka gave a rendez-vous to Tamahome. She will wait for him there, so he can prove that she loves him.
While Miaka is waiting there, she sees Nakago and Yui passing by. She decides to follow them and left her ribbon at the temple.

Tasuki comes to Tamahome and asks where Miaka was, he told Tasuki that she went to the temple. Tokaki overheard and say it's very dangerous.
Tamahome wants to go save her. But Tokaki stops him and tells him he can't go.
Tokaki says that once the Miko summons the beast, their mission is completed and they return to their world.

Tamahome refuse this fate and went anyway to save Miaka.
Once Miaka Follwed Nakago to the other temple she was captured, and her voice is taken away by Miboshi, the last Seiryuu no Seishi.
Nakago set Miaka up in the same room with the Byakko no Seishi, Tatara, the one who has the Shinzaho. He refuses to give it to Yui. Yui came along later on to meet Miaka. Miaka tries to explain to him that Nakago is using her. Unfortunatly for her lost of voice Yui couldn't understand what she was talking about.
During their conversation with Tatara they learned that once a Mika summons the beast her job is over, she must return to her world and she cannot stay with her love one in the book. So that was a surprise for Miaka. Tatara decides to give Miaka Shinzaho, but Yui tricked Miaka to give it to her and locked both Miaka and Tatara in the room.

Tatara managed to open the door, and seized Yui. But she was saved by Miboshi. Yui is taken by Nakago and leaves to summon Seiryuu. Suzaku no Seishi arrives and Subaru returns Miaka's voice back to normal. Tatara kills Miboshi and dies. Yet Miboshi's soul manage to take Chiriko's body. He uses Chiriko's body to summon the greatest demon. Chiriko manages to gain consciencenous, and stabs himself in order to stop Miboshi who is in him. Mitsukake couldn't heal him... or else Miboshi will stay alive. So Chiriko has to die. Sniff... what a brave kid. T______T Subaru and Takaki stayed behind to fight the evil monks and monsters, and Soi, Mitsukake and Tasuki stayed with Chiriko, and Miaka, Tamahome and Chichiri went after Nakago.
