Spoiler OVA 2 Synopsis

OVA 2 is based on Yuu Watase, the original artist's manga. There is a total of 18 volumes of manga, volume 1- 13 are the manga matching the TV series, as for 14 - 18 are the manga matching with the OVA 2.

I personnaly like the OVA2 much better in comparison to OVA1.

I never saw OVA2 in anime form... therefore the following synopsis are based on the manga.

It starts off half a year later from Book 13 (where the TV series ended). Miaka and Tamahome are finally getting the peace that they always wanted. Tamahome is now known as Sukunami Taka. Miaka is working hard on her cooking, and Tamahome is working hard for... well ... money! ^_^. On night she dreamed about the Suzaku, asking her to help him. Then she woke up, the next day she went to school, and finds out that she's suppose to go on a school trip on the day of her birthday. She was upset, since she was suppose to spend that day with Taka alone.

Miaka, Yui with the school went to visit an old grave, and saw walls with Genbu, Seiryuu and Byyako... and Taka, Keisuke (Miaka's brother) and Tatsuya (Yui's boyfriend). Haha that scared them! During Miaka and Yui's one hour freedom, Miaka went out to meet Taka. Taka gave her a beeper for her birthday. As they kiss, Miaka see Suzaku appears as a bird form and she was seperated from Taka and came to another dimension. Suzaku showed her the north wall of the old grave, Suzaku's wall has been stolen. He says now the four gods power are not balanced anymore, and his power is becoming weaker. An evil being is being released and he will bring the world to destruction if Suzaku's power is restored. For his power to restore he needs Miaka's help. He needs her to find the lost Suzaku. The power that Suzaku has lost is "Love" therefore he needs both Miaka and Taka. Before disappearing, Suzaku gives Miaka a scroll to help her. She return to her world and Taka finds her. She hides the scroll so that no one knows. When she got home, her parents (her mom married again) annonounced that they're going to their honeymoon. Keisuke was really upset cause he will have to eat Miaka's food... (urgh)

Miaka decides not to worry too much about the Suzaku, and decides to call Taka. Before she calls she sees the glass of her group picture with Suzaku Seishi brake for no apparent reasons. Then Taka called her, and he asked her over to his house the next day. (well he was kinda forced to) The next morning, at her cooking class, Miaka suddenly sees a monster appeared behind her teacher's back. She screams but the creature disappeared, and she suffers a slap from her teacher thinking that Miaka was calling her the monster. HEheh Anyways, she ends up at Taka's house that night. There was a thunder outside. While the two of them are having a good time together, the beast from before appeared again. the beast was about to attack, Taka throws the scroll towards it. A red light surrounds them, and all three of them appeared in a totally different world. As the beast attempts to attack them again a fire appears and the beast runs away. the fire seemed very familiar. Common guys! Who else would you think it is except our beloved TASUKI! But that idiot took a while to recognize Miaka and Taka (Tamahome). He brought them his place. He informs Miaka and Taka that the world has many monsters appearing recently. PS. it has been 2 years in the books world instead of half a year.

Then while they were eating, a monster suddenly appears on the dinner table. Rekka Shinen! Tasuki burns down the monster... and the food also. He mentionned about Taka's past... but Taka does not seem to remember them. At the same time Tasuki's pocket started shaking and a stone appeared and "went into" Taka's body. Taka gets a part of his memory back because of it. Tasuki explains to them that two years ago, when the event with Nagako was over when he woke up, both him and Chichiri had a stone in their hand. The red light appears once again and bring Miaka and Taka back to their original world. That night when Taka fell asleep, Miaka ask Suzaku (who rest in her watch) to come out. Suzaku tells her to collect all 7 stones or else Taka will disappear cause his heart and partial memories are left back in the book.

The next day, when Miaka went to school a new transfered student present himself. He's name is Shigyou Ren. He is immediatly welcome by all the ladies because of his good looking. Yui came by to see Miaka during their break, and informs her about the "Evil God" Miaka mentionned to her before. She said the back in the book Nagako showed her THEIR God. The "evil god" as oppose to Taitsukun, they have Intsukun (i think that's his name, don't believe me). Anyways... on Taka's side. He went to his class in University and finds out that class was canceled. Keisuke appears and begs him to lend him some money. While Taka is refusing and Keisuke begging, he suddenly sees the same beast that attacked them on the other night. So he decides to run to Miaka's school to check on Miaka. As for Miaka, she's more worried to get all the 7 stones so that Taka won't disappear. She pretends to be very sick, and excuse herself from class and went to resting room. When she make sure there's no body, she takes out the scroll and throw it out so the red light would appear. At the same time Taka got there in time and throws himself into the red light with Miaka. Two of them falls on Tasuki (hehe)Miaka insist on finding Chichiri but refuses to tell Taka or Tasuki the reason. Miaka decides to call for Chichiri through her mind. Suddenly Chichiri appears in the middle of them. Which pretty much scared off everyone. He tells Miaka that Taitsukun has his stone. So Chichiri the great master, brings them to Taitsukun.

There they meet Nuriko, Hotohori, Mitsukake and Chiriko. Miaka overwhelmed with joy throws herself,but... went right through them... The reason it's because they don't have a body. They're dead! It's their soul. Apparently some evil force is stopping their path to reincarnation. While Miaka tries to explain the situation to Taitsukun, underneath her feet the beast appeared and dragged Miaka into the ground as Taka quickly held on to her hand, and both of them were dragged away. Miaka and Taka end up in a qeird place where they see the beast, and someone who has long haid, and evil looking. His name was Tenkou, he tells them that they are the things that's blocking his path to freedom. Yet, he tells Taka that he will disappear so will the Suzaku no Seishi. He was about to attack Taka and Miaka, when Nyan Nyan appears and tell him not to get close to Taka and Miaka. Tenkou smiled and tells her "fine, but I want to let you know that you will NOT win this battle, and you (Taka) and Miaka will never gain happiness. Taitsukun explains to Taka that when Tamahome reincarnated to Taka it seems like his memories are left in the past and are not brought to the future. She tells him by collecting all the 7 stones he will gain his memory back and become a full human.

Chichiri gave Taka his stone, and gains another part of his memory back. Now the 4 others, will since they don't possess a real body, the stone are left behind in their world. Everyone cheers Taka and Miaka TIME'S UP! Time to return to the new world. They were back to Miaka's school. Ren was coming therefore Taka quickly left the place. Ren came to check on Miaka asking her how she feels. She says she's fine and falls asleep. Ren looks at her, and... licks her lips, and says he will destroy her happiness...
