The Dianic path steps away from certain sterotypes and groupings like, male/female, masculine/feminine, God/Goddess, man is somehow better then woman, and the like.
I believe that we need to tear down the restrictions of masculine and feminine. We are both, life is both, the Goddess is both. We all have feminine and masculine qualities within us. We are whole. We are balanced within ourselves. And as the Goddess is whole and balanced she doesn't need a god to balance her out. Its not about left and right, up and down, man and woman. It is a circle. Whole onto itself.
I need no one else to complete me. Not any man or any woman. We all have firey strength and passion, airy thoughts and ideas, water soaked emotions and dreams, earthly bound goals and bodies. And a spirit. No man has more of these qualaties then any woman, just as no woman has more then any man. I have met strong, fierce women, and emotional deep men. Why restrict ourselfs to such tight fitting groups? When we can be free and open to embrace ourselves for who we are, completely balanced and whole onto ourselves.
The divine essence I know is genderless, I choose to connect with an image of a Goddess, because as a woman I can relate to that of a female image. Also as women have been somehow labeled as beneath men, choosing a female archetype gives women power. We reclaim the Goddess, embracing what it means to be a woman.
