Mike Clouser is working in China and he, wife Connie and daughter Alexi are living there and enjoying all of the sights.  He has sent pictures of the great wall of China, one of the seven wonders of the world and the terra cotta horses and soldiers the eighth wonder of the world.  The above picture is at the Subterannean Army Founder sight.

Daughter Alexi is modeling traditional chinese clothing at the great wall of China.   Mike reports: "the Wall is something we will never forget.... it is truly spectacular.. peolian (beautiful).  For you history buffs the Great Wall was built over two thousand years ago by China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang.  It was designed to keep out the invaders from the north.  It is 5 kilometers long stretching from the Bohai Sea in the east to Gansu Province in the west.  It covers five provinces in China.   The area we visited is called Mutianyu just east of Beijing.  The great wall has only been restored in a few areas."

A recent article in the Dallas Morning News told of a miniature replica of  Emperor Qin's tomb that is guarded by terra cotta soldiers.  The miniature garden is on interstate 10 on the outskirts of Katy, Texas.

Mike and his family are enjoying the real sights.  Alexi will have many stories to tell family and schoolmates when she returns from China.
