The Worlds of Ravenna Behold, prehaps the grandest world in all the Caelestis Galactica! Regalia is the center seat for the highest of nobility, aristocracy and royalty. The topography consists of immense mountain ranges covering the entire surface of the planet. these mountains are among the tallest and most imposing found anywhere within the Galactica--as if they defied gravity, time and erosion by stretching high into the atmosphere. Slightly below the peaks and as far as the eye can see downward, there are miles upon miles of thick clouds of mostly pinkish to cool violet hues---most people are not sure what lies or resides at "the bottom". The Regalians live atop and along the sides of these mountains in vast and breathtakingly beautiful palaces, chateaus and estates; the culture and ambience being very similar to that of 17th century France/England (the time of the fabled Three Musketeers comes to mind...). The largest palace on Regalia (indeed, in the entire system) is that of Le Fleur du Vitae. It's more than just a palace, being carved right out of an entire mountain peak (Mon Couer), Le Fluer is an actual city of sorts; a place where the young Emperor, his seven wives and other royalty reside and rule their world. Le Fleur is a place teeming with intrigue, perversion, scandal, schemes and adventure. More importantly, Le Fleur du Vitae is the location of the exhalted Congressional Senate of Worlds; the place where delegates from the other worlds gather to discuss and debate (mostly argue and rarely resolve..) interworldly issues. It is also the location of the Grand Magister---the highest court in the Galactica. The economic engine is nearly nonexistent; Regalia can offer nothing to the other worlds except lay claim to ancient sovereignty and royal bloodlines. Nearly 80% of its life sustaining resources is imported, albiet there does exist small time farmers, peasants villagers that reside on the lower levels of the mountains, but not nearly enough to make Regalia a self sustaining world. Indeed, Regalia exists because of the tithes, taxes and goods it receives from the other worlds. Militarily speaking, Regalia does not have a very impressive ground force, owed to the mountainous terrain of the planet, but it is makes up for that shortcoming with its outstanding aerial brigades and strato battalions--prehaps even superior to Acerban aerial war machines. Needless to say, besides for the purposes of defense, alot of travel between mountains is acclompished via exquisitely crafted aerialgalleys and palaceships. Because of its ancient heritage and royal dynasties, Regalia holds and maintains the most powerful sphere of influence in the Congressional Senate of Worlds with a whopping 6 seats!
