The Worlds of Ravenna The Caelestis Galactica is the name that describes the colossal, intircate ring system of planets and everything within it. This bizarre solar system is obviously the design of some unimaginably intelligent entity (or entities) in some equally unimaginable, ancient epoch. The Galactica is nestled within a remote corner of some obscure nebula in an unnamed galaxy amoungst the billions that soar through the universe (whether this exists within "our" universe or in a different universe or dimension is unknown, even to the authors--and will probably never be dealt with in detail...). This nebula is known as the Grand (or Great) Ether by the people that live on it's myriad worlds. The planets get their ambient warmth and light from the nebula itself and from the multitude of weak suns that harbour within the Ether. If one were to approach the Caelestis Galactica from outside the Ether, it would stunningly appear as a beautifully alien Christmas ornament or chandelier--only when approaching the outer fringes of the system, would one finally realize that this is a confoundingly bizarre network of planets and then with a wave of both wonder and terror, one is encompassed by the full scope of the enormity and complexity of the structure.
