Functions of
LNSA Officers
Executive Division
President and Chief Executive Officer
The executive power is vested in the
President and CEO of LNSA. The President is responsible for
presiding and supervising the annual operation of the
organization. He/she may conduct, cancel, suspend or adjourn
meetings, and evict any officer who provokes disorder during
meetings. The President may also act as chair over
impeachment proceedings, unless he/she is the one accused.
He/she serves as ex-officio member of the Committee on
Academics. The President has the power to approve or
disapprove projects proposed by any member of the Executive
Board and to sign documents that need his/her approval. The
President is also responsible in filling up vacancies in the
Executive Board and create special committees for a specific
project or activity of the organization. The President
collaborates with the Executive Director for Finance and
Controller in preparing the annual budget plan of the
organization and issues memorandum orders approved by the
majority of the Executive Board when the need arises. Being
the head of the board, he is responsible in ensuring that
the Constitution and By-Laws is faithfully executed.
Executive Vice-President
The Executive Vice-President (EVP) is responsible in
assisting the President in supervising the organization. The
EVP presides in the affairs of the organization in absence
or incapacity of the President and co-sign
with the President, when the need arises, in all documents
concerning the organization with the consent of the
President. In
an event that the President shall have died, resigned,
become permanently unable to discharge his/her power or
removed from office by impeachment, the EVP shall succeed
the President.
