Heading into Springfield

On the fourth of July, Starla and I headed over to Springfield to visit with some of her family up there.

We didn’t manage to see much fireworks that night but there were some that we drove to see and they were quite good.

The day we arrived in Springfield, we went and visited a chinese garden which was not too far off from our hotel.  Most of the scenery here was similar to what we have in some of gardens back in New Zealand but I still enjoyed this little tour.

Up until having visited Springfield, I had only heard about the Bass Pro Shop from Starla.  Didn’t really have any idea what it was all about but once I got there – I soon figured it out!  The place was huge and had a lot of animals and creatures indoors that we were able to walk around and see.  We got a lot of pictures here and had a good time. 

Next stop: Hot Springs, Arkansas then Shreveport, Louisiana.
