Hot Springs

The day after I arrived in the U.S, Starla and I began what was to be quite long but very enjoyable scenic drive through a number of different cities and towns throughout Arkansas and Missouri.  Our first stop was here in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  The scenery here was absolutely beautiful and this is where I got my first dose of Walmart…woohoo!

We visited the Mid America Museum which had a lot of hands on science and technology displays as well as background information about local region here.  A very interesting place to visit.  The highlight for me here, was seeing a sign that you would never ever see where I am from, in New Zealand…

After visiting the Mid America Museum we went and ate at a Mexican restaurant.  Quite different to anything that I have ever eaten back in my home country.

For two people who had previously only known each other through the internet, Starla and I were hitting it off really well.  Lots of eating and talking as we sipped on margaritas.

Next stop: Eureka Springs
