Daw Aung San Suu Kyi being a modest woman gained peoples respect and confidence. She understood that leadership was a duty that can only be obtained if people were willing. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was committed to a non-violent approach to things, which states that she used negotiation to achieve or solve problems. She had many other qualities that made her a good leader, such as her independence, faith, courage, honesty justice, compassion and her optimistic views.
