Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was a human rights activist. Her major goal was to liberate Burma and make it a democratic nation. This goal Daw Aung San Suu Kyi had set was to gain human rights in Burma. She fought for equality, security and peace for the Burmese people. Not only did her efforts appeal to the people fighting alongside her but appealed to others world wide which encouraged them to take actions for what they thought would be better for earth and the people living on it.
