You can play the C64 original version now via the magic of emulation. (Follow these steps to play.):

1. Download, unzip and install the C64 VICE emulator (available for a wide variety of machine setups). (Use Winzip to unzip) Tip: After installing winzip right click on any zip file for quick unzip options.

2. Download and unzip the game. (Manual included in download.)

3. To play first activate the C64 emulator-- that is, click on the X64.exe in your VICE folder. Click "File>Autostart Disk/Image..." Select the lasersquad.d64 file. Press space through the load screens. You're ready to go!

Tip: A Gravis Gamepad works great for emulation games. (Select "keyboard" on the emulator, and assign the keys to the controls in the Gravis properties panel.)

A standard 2 button joystick also works well with VICE.
