Within the Arch Angels Command hierarchy, there is a council of battle-brothers who are responsible for maintaining the vast Realm of Avalon. This core of officers is known as the Grand Council. At the head of the Grand Council is the Chapter Master who bears the title of Lord Draconus. It is the Chapter Master's job to maintain the Chapter as well as presiding over the Planetary Lords and Imperial Commanders within the Realm of Avalon.

Below the Chapter Master are the 10 Company Captains and 4 Administrators who all perform various roles pertaining to running the Chapter and it's fleet. This is no small measure as it means that each Captain is responsible for their area of expertise over 4 entire planetary systems, numerous space stations, and many Explorator and Rogue Trader missions.

Listed below are the Arch Angel Chapter's 10 Companies and their readiness.

The Arch Angel's Chapter Organization is a slightly modified version from that of the Codex Astartes. Instead of an entire company of Veterans and an entire company of scouts, each company maintains a squad of Veterans and a squad of scouts. So, for example, at full strength, the 1st Company - Paramount is structured as follows:

- Captain, Chaplain, 2 Apothecaries, 2 Librarians
- 1 Squad of Veteran Terminators (10)
- 4 Tactical Squads (40)
- 2 Assault Squads (20)
- 2 Devastator Squads (20)
- 1 Scout Squad (10)

Though not exactly conforming to the rigidity of the Codex Astartes, it is close enough in structure to the Codex Chapters that the Arch Angels have no difficulty adjusting to or performing their role with the DeathWatch.
