What can I do? What you can do is take the lid off and stop ALL humidity sources (sponges, bubbling pools, etc.) for 30 minutes to an hour. Make sure you watch the conditions to prevent it from getting too low for that period of time. Also, you could put a fan near the tank for an hour or two and have it blow near the tank so the humidity goes down if taking the lid off doesn't help. My humidity is too low. What could I do? You could use a humidity source in tank. List of humidity sources: Climbing background Bubbling pool (Make sure the crabs can't climb up it to escape by getting a lid with no holes that they could fit into.) sponge Mister humidifier To use a climbing wall to promote humidity, spray it several times a day. My temperature is too low! What can I do? The most effective ways to make the temperature go up are to either use a heat lamp or a UTH (put on side.) You'll also have to heat the substrate with a UTH. IF you use a room heater, make sure you watch that humidity extremely carefully. My temperature is too high! What can I do? You can put your crabs in a cooler room. You can also use a fan our air conditioner, but be careful; the humidity might get lower if you do that. Turn off your UTHs and lamps.
