Policies and Procedures
I have set forth the following requirements for the care of your child. I hope that you will read through them carefully and let me know if there is any part you do not understand. If you have any questions please contact me. I will be happy to discuss them with you. Enrollment Policy There are many forms that I must have completed before I can begin caring for your child. Because these forms are required by the state, there are no exceptions to this policy. In addition, you are required to keep me informed of any changes to your information. This includes, but is not limited to, any changes to your address, phone numbers, or any update to childhood immunizations. Your tuition deposit will be used to secure your child’s place in my child care program. If your child’s position is accepted but the child does not enter on the agreed upon date, the deposit will be forfeited. Pick Up and Drop Off Procedure Our normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm. I will provide extended child care hours if my schedule permits. The fee for extended hours will be $5 per half hour per child. Extended hours must be scheduled and paid for in advance. Extended hour fees are not pro-rated. Your child will only be released to the parent or individuals authorized on the enrollment form. If someone not listed on the enrollment form needs to pick up your child I must be notified in advance. I will request to see a photo ID when an unknown, designated person, or new parent comes to pick up your child. Please prepare those picking up your child for this procedure. Supplies You will be responsible for providing the following supplies: Sleep Position In order to reduce the risk of SIDS, infants will always be placed on their backs to sleep. Emergency, Illness, and Medication Policy Snowy Day Policy Our center will close any time that the Moore Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather. Meals and Snacks I will provide breakfast, lunch, and one snack per day. Please click on the link for more information on our meals and snacks, including the CACFP program, meal times, and menus. Please let me know if your child is allergic to any foods. Please do not bring food for your child unless there is enough for everyone to share. The exception to this will be if your child is on a special diet. Because our center participates in a federally funded food program, we must follow very strict guidelines. As part of the guidelines we have designated meal times. If your child will be arriving after the start of our designated meal time, please make sure that they eat before they come. If you need a current meal schedule please let me know. Nap Time If there is a special blanket or stuffed animal your child uses for nap time you are welcome to bring it. If your child has given up naps, we will still have a rest time. Discipline I will first use positive guidance methods with your child such as listening, reinforcement, and re-direction. Some situations may require a “time-out”, however, I will use these only when necessary and only long enough for your child to regain control of his or her emotions. Conferences Once a year I will plan a conference with you to discuss your child’s likes, interests, and development. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to come to me. I will be happy to schedule a conference at any time. Substitute Care I will have a substitute caregiver care for the children if I have an appointment during business hours. For my vacation days or on the rare occasions that I am ill, I will try (if needed) to help you find alternate care; however, the ultimate responsibility will be yours. Activities
