Jeff Xxxx has contacted me to help facilitate
the transfer of the domain kylemaynard.com which he was developing
as a fan site. Jeff has recently gotten married and moved to a new
city, so has found that he no longer has the time to create and maintain
a full Web site-- although he's already put a great deal of time and
effort into the project.
Since I've developed sites with Jeff
in the past and dealt with transfers of my own domains before, he
asked me to handle this on his behalf. I spoke with Rusty Jones in
May, but did not hear back from him -- and as such Jeff has been in
a holding pattern, waiting to find out what you all would like to
do. Obviously, it wouldn't make sense for him to put up one site only
to replace it with another a few months later.
He was understandably
surprised and upset by the strange and threatening fax that Kyle's
manager sent to a former place he worked. Considering that all
correspondence previously had been friendly, it seemed inappropriate
for Mr. Marinozzi to send such a personal attack.
Jeff is more than
willing to transfer the domain to another party, provided the
time and effort he's already spent could be adequately compensated.
Obviously, if the intention is to have an "official" Web home for Mr. Maynard, "kylemaynard.com" would
be the preferable domain. As an aside, Jeff has previously created
sites for some of his other fave celebs, including...[snip]
Previously, he estimated that at least
50 hours since January had gone into working on a site before going "live", so he asks that
be taken into consideration.
Please let me know what you might be
thinking about, and I'll see if I can get Jeff to agree
to it.
Best wishes,
Simon
