An exotic Mirialan with patterned tatoos sprinkled on her fruitwood-coloured face, Luminara Unduli served as a Jedi Master for a decade prior to the Clone Wars. Her tatoos denoted her dedication to physical disciplines. Years of intense training turned her body into a weapon itself, increasing the flexibility of her joints to allow her inhuman agility in combat. Her padawan was also a Mirialan, and shared similar tatoos. Luminara and Barriss Offee were an inseperable duo, often fighting in tandem to create a pair more powerful than the sum of its parts. Luminara was one of the Jedi Council's most trusted negotiators, and often aided the Republic with valuable information and reconnisance. One such time was during the lead-up to the Trade Federation blockade of Naboo, when Luminara offered information on the whereabouts of the Mirialan pirate, Arwen Cohl to Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luminara would later assist Obi-Wan again, during the Ansion border dispute. Luminara and her padawan were dispatched along with Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to the planet, which had threatened to seceed from the Republic. Unduli and Offee were also part of the Jedi team sent to Geonosis, an event which triggered the catastrophic Clone Wars and saw the deaths of many Jedi. |
