COUNT DOOKU'S HANGAR

Geonosis
   Type: Secret hangar
   Owner:
Count Dooku
   Occupants:
Solar sailer, FA-4

Even the best laid plans can go terribly awry, so in case of such an eventuality, Count Dooku commandeered the use of an abandoned factory tower for a secret hangar he could use for a
tactical withdrawal...

The hangar, located in the rocky N'ge'u Valley - south of the Badlands of N'g'zi - was once a factory outpost, but Dooku had it converted into a secret hangar away from the Confederate war room. Situated above an abandoned factory that once made aquatic sonic weapons, the tower had room for both Dooku's solar sailer and his Geonosian fighter escorts.  There was a flight entrance above the hangar, featuring a docking clamp for the beak-wing starfighters. The hangar itself had various power feeds, systems diagnostics and gas-release trunkings dotted around it, with an archway leading to reactors, fuel stores and the factory below. This entrance was across from the one Dooku used when travelling from the command center, which itself was next to the launch chute he used to head away from the planet. As the Geonosians expanded their factories for big orders, then abandoned them when the project was completed, the location was ideal for a hidden retreat.
However, the hangar did not stay hidden for long. When war errupted on Geonosis, Dooku fled to his hangar on a
Geonosian swoop - pursued by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Though Dooku's escorts destroyed their gunship, the Jedi managed to race inside the hangar and confront Dooku. After two brief duels, Dooku defeated his attackers, but did not have time to gloat. Yoda arrived just in time, and challenged the Count. Dooku threw everything he had at his disposal at his old Master - including chunks of the hangar's ceiling - before engaging him in an epic battle. Dooku escaped by trying to crush Anakin and Obi-Wan under a gas-release trunking, forcing Yoda to break off the fight and save them. Dooku raced into his ship as FA-4 powered up the drives, and they blasted away from the war zone.
