Samsons win first round games!!

In a great day of basketball action both Samson teams were victorious.  The ladies got off to a fast start behind Ruppe's 22 first half points.  They jumped out to a 38-22 half time lead with Coss nailing a trey at the buzzer.  The Bottineau LadyJacks were overmatched all game by the inside work of Mazurek(15pts, 11rb) and Ruppe(26pts, 12rb).  The Samsons also received solid play from Levra(5pts, 8rbs) and Rosga(8pts, 7rbs)  The Ladies continue their tournament run tonight at 5:30.  The men's game was an exciting display of offense with almost 230 points being scored.  It was an amazing shooting display by both squads, which came down to the end with Gogebic edging out the challengers.  The Samsons received a strong effort by the entire roster.  Lane, Gotta and Paquin all played extremely well.  Wood and Kelly provided great defensive pressure, and directed the break masterfully.  The men play United Tribes tonight at 7:30
