After the absolutely atrocious Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, the crew of the Enterprise redeems itself very, very well in this sixth installment in the Star Trek series.

The time has come when the Federation and the Klingon empire decide to form a peace. However, after what seems to be a nice little dinner, Kirk and McCoy are arrested for the assassination of the Klingon Chancellor. All the evidence states that the Enterprise fired torpedoes at the Klingon vessel and that two crewmembers beamed aboard and killed the Chancellor. However, no one aboard the Enterprise has any knowledge of the events. What exactly happened is what the crew sets about trying to find. The results are a fully entertaining motion picture event that successfully closes the Star Trek motion picture series, featuring the original television series cast, with wholly satisfying results.
