THEOMEN

1976 ***1/2 111 mins.

This is an interesting little film that was nowhere near as good as I thought it was going to be. At first, I absolutely loved it. It started out sweetly and slowly, and the viewer almost forgot what it was supposed to evolve into. Once it got into the weird, scary stuff, though, this film was too in-your-face about it. The music was, at least, and that really bugged me to no living end. This is still very interesting and very entertaining, even if it is a bit cheesy.

By the way, this is a film that has to be seen in widescreen; the full screen version looks absolutely horrible.
Rated R for violence and gore.
