EVERYONE
SAYS
I LOVE
YOU

1996 ***** 101 mins.

Woody Allen's musical about a New York City family and their trials and tribulations with love is absolutely wonderful. In all honesty, it takes the viewer about five times watching it before he fully understands it all (i.e. which kids belong to which parent). The music is wonderfully placed, especially since the songs are, actually, older songs. This was done sort of like Singin' in the Rain. In Singin' in the Rain, all of the songs were songs that had already been written. Everyone Says I Love You is a highly entertaining and funny musical romp than should never be overlooked.
Rated R for language and sexuality.
