Special Facility for Rural Masses for Cataract Operation :

Besides the above activities, Kota Eye Hospital has fixed 3 remote places for regular monthly Screening for Cataract, where a team of four members goes for screening of the patients and the patients selected for operation are referred to the base hospital for surgery. The screening of the patients is done free of cost.

In this facility, Simple Cataract Operation is done Free of Cost. If the patient is advised for Cataract Operation with IOL implant, he or she is charged Rs. 2000/- for the surgery (as IOL fee). The transportation of the patients from the screening site to the base hospital is provided free.
