About the Hospital :

Kota Eye Hospital & Research Foundation was established in 1987 with a view to provide Quality Eye Care services in Hadoti Region (Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Baran, etc) under the supreme guidance of Dr. Mahesh Punjabi & Dr. Sandhya Mahesh and inaugurated by Prof. L.P.Agarwal, the then director of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi. The couple Ophthalmologists are highly qualified and have a vast experience. Both the doctors are excellent Phaco-surgeons. Started with only 10 beds initially, Kota Eye Hospital now caters about 150 patients daily and is a 35 beded hospital fully equipped with all ultramodern and State-of-the-Art equipments, some of which are :

1. Operating Microscopes (Topcon-USA).
2. Phaco-emulsification system (Alcon-USA).
3. Digital Fundus Camera (Carl Ziess-Germany).
4. Computerised Visual Field Analyser (Humphrey-USA).
5. Retinal Laser (Germany).
6. Nd YAG Laser (Nidek-Japan).
7. Biometer - A Scan - Humphrey.

The Hospital aims at serving the poor sections of society and provide them all the services as availed by higher sections at minumum cost. To fulfill this, hospital also conducts free eye camps, and mobile eye care services.

Kota Eye Hospital is staffed with 6 Ophthalmologists , 4 Office Personnels, 18 paramedicals and 12 others. The hospital is also provided full support from NGO's like Kota Eye Research Centre Society, Rotary Club, Help-age India, Lions Club and a few others.
