As for me, I prefer to have contact with a few close friends rather than a lot of friends. The reason is because these folk are the people I hang out with most of the time. In Thailand, I used to have my own group. During lunchtime, we used to play soccer everyday, no basketball or other games interfering. People used to make a lot of jokes during childhood but sometimes I get offended easily since I was a pretty serious kid. Well, I realized my mistake soon that it was people's way to make fun of you to make you mad. Becoming angry on it would only increase your stress level.

To be perfectly honest, when I moved to the US, I got to know a lot of people faster. More I participated in outdoor activities, it increased the mutual relationship to get help from others. Certain people came to respect my specific talents and skills and I admired theirs also. However, I tend to be very quiet in class and only socialize if necessary. Truth, some may contemplate me as a haughty or unfriendly person. But in nature though, I am a positive thinker who focuses on good points of people instead of the negative ones.

Keeping contact with friends in Thailand is crucial for me, I generally write e-mails to friends to chat with them. We consult about various matters, news, sports, hobbies, travel place and innumerable topics. My friends give reliable updates about my homeland and its environs, which is vital. Trading personal and ethnic backgrounds with each other had been very interesting because I got to know more about their lifestyle as well as their distinctive culture.
