Hi, everyone!
Since coming back to San Francisco from Tokyo, I still had been busy traveling. I went to Joshua Tree National Park for camping and rock climbing at the end of October. I really like the place, and it was a good trip. Then, I was in San Diego for a conference in the beginning of November for a week. Since I lived there for 6 years for my graduate education, San Diego is like a second home to me, and I enjoyed my stay there. While I was there, I stayed with one of my best friends, Neil. It was good to hang out with him just like the old time. Especially, we cooked together and invited friends over. It was so much fun. I was inspired to cook more often.
The inspiration got me, and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner last Thursday. I invited my friends for the dinner, and it was good. I cooked 6 dishes and they came out not too badly, even though I thought that the turkey was a little over-cooked.
My mother is doing well in chemotherapy for lymphoma, and she is scheduled to be discharged from the hospital today. I am happy to hear that she is in remission.
I just bought a snowboard (a used one) last week, and I look forward to boarding many times this season.
It looks like that I will be going for a road trip at the end of December/beginning of January for a week in the Four Corners area. It will be fun.
