The history of the picturesque surrounding historically
known as Klov, where Klovskiy Lyceum is situated dates back to the time
when there was here a rough, babbling brook flowing down the steep hill
to join the brimming river Lybid. It’s been a long time since the Klovskiy cloister laid by abbot Stephan as far back as the XI century had been here. But there is a special force and grace here for sure. For more than hundred years kernels of wisdom and enlightenment develop from here: on October 1, 1900 a two-year initial school for “Arsenal” workers’ children was opened here. Since the year 1937 is had been a secondary school No. 77 up to 1992 when it got the name Klovskiy Lyceum No. 77. Klovskiy Lyceum #77 is situated in the central part of the Kyiv city, the Pechersk District which is one of the oldest and most picturesque capital's districts.
