Klovskiy
gallery was opened in February, 2002 under the Museum of History of
Klovskiy Lyceum #77. Though only a year has passed since the Gallery had
been found, its expositions have already found their admirers. The works of Kyiv artists, professional photographers, arts and crafts artists, material from the museum archives. Among the most popular expositions were photo-exhibitions by Oleksandr Ranchukov and Ihor Gilbo, painting on the glass and rag-dolls by Oksana Tsupa, works of art (painting, dolls, different extraordinary materials) by Svitlana Derenchuk, paintings of Ukrainian scenery by Oleksandr Linchevsky, works made by children who perished during the WWII (exhibitions of children's drawings made in the concentration camp Teresin, “Ď haven’t seen any butterfly here” ), our school dynasties, etc.
It is always pleasant when the Gallery’s visitors, both children and grown ups, comment on everything interesting they have seen here. Thus the Klovskiy Gallery Book of Responses contains more than a thousand of reviews and responses.
Apart
from the Lyceum’s pupils the Gallery is visited by parents, Kyiv
intellectuals. Before
each exhibition is opened a lot of creative and spade-work must be done,
where our pupils take an active part. Invitations to the grand openings
of the Gallery exhibitions are being after many interesting people. In
this gallery everybody –
young and old – can find something interesting and new for
oneself, something special for the good of one's soul. Thanks
to the Gallery our Lyceum becomes more comfortable and homelike… Films are shot about the Gallery’s exhibitions. Our pupils themselves take newsreels.
