I believe that learning can be fun and that students actually learn more when they are engaged in the lessons. In order to follow my beliefs though, I understand that I must make sure that all curriculum standards are met and that teachers feel comfortable using the technologies and collaborative authentic activities that I so love. Technology must be used ethically and all students must be included. This is the real world; that is where I teach. I know that a good technical facilitator has to understand first, how to teach and build expertise in the students. Once the teaching methods are understood, technology enhances them. Everything stems from the curriculum guidelines that teachers have, and the learning needs that students have. |
