Welcome! To Kids First Family Resource Centre - Antigonish. The Centre is a place where children ages newborn to age six along with parents/caregivers can gather to have fun free of charge. It is a comfortable place to talk and share ideas with other parents. Children have access to free child development activities that foster self-esteem. (such as, painting, crafts, free play with quality toys, children's books, story time, music and singing). The program co-ordinator is Debbie Anderson.

Kids First provides a source of information on other programs and services available to parents/caregivers and their children in the local area. Books and videos are also available for loan. (both parenting and children's). Kids First offers:

• Drop-in Parent and Tot Playgroups: For those "hair pulling" days! Drop in and have tea or coffee with us and chat with other parents. Take a break with us! You can relax while your child enjoys fun activities with other children. Each month a calender is available showing the drop-in events.
• Preschool programs: An opportunity for children to experience learning in a small group setting.
• Lending Library: children's and parents.
• Community Meeting Place.
• Children's Programs.
• Parenting Programs.
• Special workshops and activities.
• Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies.
• A Breast Feeding friendly environment.
• Complete confidentiality.
