Mission Statement
At Kids First we believe that every person is entitled to live in a healthy,
supportive,non-violent environment. We will strive to improve
the quality of life for children and their families in Pictou,
Antigonish and Guysborough Counties. We will work
to identify and strenghten existing services, as well
as create new services and programs based
on the needs of the families and the
resources available to us.
We will strive to
work co-operatively with
each other and our partner
organizations and agencies. We will
demonstrate the value we place on the dignity
and worth of human beings. We trust that by using a
community development process we will help to empower people,
families and communities to not only survive, but to reach their true potential.
