| The Women's Prayer Divine Mother, As I step into this new era of my life, I am becoming more and more aware that you are with me, and that you express yourself through me. When I open my heart to your great power, I feel you reminding me of how beautiful I am. I feel you guiding me to embrace my creative talents. I feel your support as I make a deeper commitment to my purpose. I begin to experience all the abundance that you so amply supply, and I hear you reminding me that you will supply all that I will ever need. I ask you to remind me each day that I must honor my soul with meditation and my body with healthful food. When it seems too dark to see the light, I know that you are always guiding me, I know that you are beside me when I stumble, as I attempt to step out into the world to express my own true feminine power. And I know that you'll never let me make too much of a fool of myself. Help me to move more and more into my heart and realize that judgment is not mine, and that arrogance will trip me up every time. I welcome your powerful spirit into my life, as I endeavor to become the most loving and creative partner and leader that I can possibly be. Freedom is my goal. Love is my path. Commitment is my promise. I feel your love always, and I feel blessed to be a woman. Blessed be. -Unknown |

| Your hope in my heart is the rarest treasure
Your Name on my tongue is the sweetest word My choicest hours Are the hours I spend with You -- O God, I can't live in this world Without remembering You-- How can I endure the next world Without seeing Your face? I am a stranger in Your country And lonely among Your worshippers: This is the substance of my complaint. -Rabi'a al-'Adawiya ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blessed be my brain that I may conceive of my own power. Blessed be my breast that I may give sustenance to those I love. Blessed be my womb that I may create what I choose to create . Blessed be my knees that I may bend so as not to break. Blessed be my feet that I may walk in the path of my highest will. -Robin Morgan ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She who has power to open the womb Has done great things for me. Holy is Her name. Her mercy flows through mother to daughter from generation to generation. Her maternal strength strikes at the roots of evil, and it departs. She pushes the proud from the pinnacles of power and lifts up little people. She feeds her hungry daughters, but those who are filled to the brim with opportunity, She sends away. She soothes all those who turn to Her, remembering Her compassion, keeping Her promise to Her progeny forever. -Miriam Therese Winter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bright lady of the waters, untamable woman flowing with the strength and beauty of the women’s revolution! You break the chains of our oppression with your force, while lapping inside us a love and sexuality. We drink of your life force and ask you to bless the eternal Solidarity and love between all women; we flow from the same womanspirit. May we join together and celebrate this! -Zsuzsanna E. Budapest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Great Prayer To the Great Mystery which is within and without, Honor be to the Spirit of Life. May it flow like a river Through the channels of our hearts And branch out across the earth. Let us find healing at the peaceful waters And learn the love that empowers. May the love grow as the flame That brings light into the darkness And melts hatred and fear, And may we burn forever bright May we know the strength of our souls, Know the worlds within us As we know we are cells of a greater whole. Two-fold in one, We are many fold in one. Ah-ho, so mote it be, AMEN. - Joan Ann Lansberry |

| I seek mercy
for the women stoned and their accomplice--- the darkness of the night, for the scent of clover and the branches on which they fall intoxicated like quails and woodcocks, for their scorned lives, for their love torments, unrelieved by compassion. I seek mercy For the moonlight and for the rubies, of their skin, for the moonlight’s dusk, for the showers of their undone hair, for the handful of silvery branches for their loves naked and damned--- for all Mary Magdalenes. -Desanka Maksimovic |
