We took 0ver 50 students to Florida on Spring break 2000. We worked with Habitat for Humanity, doing the roofing and insulation on eight different homes.
We worked with a group from the University of Ohio's Wesley Foundation.
On site with us were prisoners from Broward County. That was quite an experience. Much of this trip was spent in play, as we visited four different beaches!
We stayed at Zion Lutheran High School in Deerflield Beach. We also visited Pompano, West Palm and Cocoa beaches along the way.
One of the highlights of the trip was a worshjp service we had one night on Deerfield Beach. It is something I will never forget. |
