Keepsake Blue of Kensham

November 16th, 1996

My little blue merle boy, Aussie, was very lucky to be with us as he was the only pup born alive in his litter of 4.  Lucky last.  Aussie was a grandson of Crystal, his mother, Tessa, is still with us ... just!!  See her on the Sheltie page.

Aussie nice head

He was a real live wire and those bright blue eyes would shine with excitement.  He lived his short life to the fullest.  It was almost as though he knew he wouldn't be with us for long, as he died probably of a heart attack when he was 8 1/2 years old.

This is Bradley, son of Crystal.  Our laughing, smiling boy.  He was the clown of the family and loved by all.  He was supposed to be sold, but nobody wanted a boy puppy!  So he stayed and we're so glad he did.  We had 11 1/2 fun years together.

Bradley August 2000 This photo was taken shortly before his death in August, 2000.  He, like his half sister, Lucy, had been a happy healthy dog for virtually all his life until almost the end, when we discovered he too had cancer.  We do miss his smiley face and funny ways.

August 20th, 1993

This is old Gwyn.  As a young fellow!  He was a Welsh Terrier of much character.  From the first litter born in New Zealand. A brave, happy chap who ignored the Shelties he shared our home and hearts with.
old Gwyn 2 A shaggy guy who preferred to look like a Teddy Bear.  He loved life on the farm and was here from our first day and lived here until he was 15 1/2 years old.
