IMAM ALI IBN ABU TALIB (A.S)
THE 1ST IMAM(A.S)

NAME: ALI
BORN: 13 RAJAB (FRIDAY) INSIDE THE KHANA-E-KABA
FATHER: HAZRAT ABU TALIB
MOTHER: FATIMA BINTEY ASAD
DEATH: 21 RAMZAN(RAMADAN) 40 HIJRI
BURIED: NAJAF-E-ASHRAF

Source: Najul Balagha

In the 40th year of Hijri, in the small hours OF THE MORNING OF 19TH RAMADAN, Imam Ali (AS) was struck with a poisoned sword by the Kharijite Ibn Maljam while offering his prayers in the Masjid of Kufa.

He died ON THE 21ST DAY OF RAMADAN 40 A.H. and buried in Najaf-ul-Ashraf.

He was born in the House of Allah, the Kaaba, and
martryed in the House of Allah, Masjid-e-Kufa.

The Lion of Allah, the most brave and gentle Muslim after the Prophet (PBUH&HF) himself, began his glorious life with devotion to Allah and His Messenger, and ended it in the service of Islam.

"And do not speak of those who are slain in the the Way of Allah as dead; nay, they are alive, but you perceive not." Quran 2:154

VERY IMPORTANT AND NOTEWORTHY

Matthew 27:46 (KJ2000) And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? 47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calls for Elijah.

whatever the case may be, it is clear from these biblical episodes ONLY THAT :

  1. 'ELI--MY GOD'

  2. Elijah or Eliah = “my God is Jehovah” ;

    God of Jehovah

  3. or “Yah(u) is God” ;

'ALI'

THE OTHER DIVINE BEING ;

  • mentioned in the bible ;

  • was none other than 'ALI' ;

OF THE ISLAMIC CONTEXT AND DISPENSATION ONLY.

'ALI' IN THE HOLY QUR'AN

  1. Wa Qur Rabbi

  2. 'Adkhilnī Mudkhala Şidqinw Wa 'Akhrijnī Mukhraja Şidqinw

  3. Waj`alī Milladunka Sulţānāan Naşīrāa

[see also/compare 1) Al-Fātiĥah:4,5; 2) Al-Baqarah:207-210 ;  4) An-Nisā' :45,75 & 9) At-Tawbah:40

  2.  Cause me to come in with a firm incoming and to go out with a firm outgoing.

  3. And give me from Thy presence a sustaining Power

Wa Wahabnā Lahum Min Raĥmatinā Wa Ja`alnā Lahum Lisāna Şidqin `Alīyyāa

019.050 And we gave them of Our mercy, and assigned to them a high and true renown - Lisāna Şidqin `Alīyyāa

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 19:41]

Is aliyyan, in verse 50, an adjective qualifying the tongue, or the second object of the verb ja-alna? However, unless a particular person is implied by the truthful tongue, aliyyan does not belong here. Therefore it must be read as "the truthful tongue", the sublime and exalted Ali ibn abi Talib; or Ali be taken as a proper noun. There is no difference between these two alternatives because he was not only ali by his name but also, in all aspects of his personality, he was ali in the real sense of the adjective. He was created ali by the aliyyul ala, the highest high, the Lord of the worlds. As the gate to the city of knowledge (the Holy prophet) he was the "truthful tongue" of all the previous prophets of Allah, because whoever represents the Holy Prophet represents all the prophets of Allah. Therefore he is rightly known as the kitabullah al natiq, the speaking book of Allah.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 27:20

It is stated in Minhaj al Sadiqin and Umdat al Bayan that then the Holy Prophet said to Ali:

"O Ali, you helped all the prophets of Allah incognito (BATIN - concealed from view), and you help me in propria persona (ZAHIR - in person) manifestly."

Ali ibn abi Talib is known as mazhar al aja-ib and mazhar al ghara-ib because, as willed by Allah, he used to appear in different forms to carry out divine plans under very special circumstances.
  • These two epithets are exclusively reserved for Ali.
  • Even today the true believers invoke Allah to send him for help.
  • The famous dua, known as Nadi Ali, which the Holy Prophet recited,
  • AS COMMANDED by Allah, at Khaybar refers to Ali as mazhar al aja-ib.
  • Ali ibn abi Talib is also known as mushkil kusha, the remover of hardships.
  • In every age, to many persons he comes personally to remove hardships.
  • Through his name great spiritual achievements are attained.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary  37:123]

As mentioned in history Ilyas or Ilyah or Elijah was taken up in a whirlwind to heaven when the people planned to kill him. He is still alive; and is represented by Ali ibn abi Talib.

Word Origin: Hebrew,  Noun Masculine, Strong #: 2243

Elijah = "my God is Jehovah"
  1. a prophet born at Thisbe, the unflinching champion of the theocracy in the reigns of the idolatrous kings Ahab and Ahaziah. He was taken up to heaven without dying, whence the Jews expected he would return just before the advent of the Messiah, whom he would prepare the minds of the Israelites to receive.

Footnotes
28 Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?: Jesus cries out in the words of Psalm 22:2, a psalm of lament that is the Old Testament passage most frequently drawn upon in this narrative. In Mark the verse is cited entirely in Aramaic, which Matthew partially retains but changes the invocation of God to the Hebrew Eli, possibly because that is more easily related to the statement of the following verse about Jesus' calling for Elijah.

29 Elijah: see the note on Matthew 3:4. This prophet, taken up into heaven (2 Kings 2:11), was believed to come to   the help of those in distress, but the evidences of that belief are all later than the gospels.

despite the above text and explanation thereof, i still believe that  the 'crucified jesus' called upon 'ELIYAH' -- 'THE GOD OF YHWH.'

[19]. Some Commentators take Ya to be the vocative particle, and Sin to be the abbreviation of Insan, Sin being the only "Firm Letter" in the word. In that case it would be an address to man. "O man!" But "man" in this connection is understood to mean the Leader of man, the noblest of mankind. Muhammad the Prophet of Allah. For this Sura deals mainly with the holy Prophet and his Message. But no dogmatic assertion can be made about the Abbreviated Letters, for which see Appendix 1, following S. ii. Ya-Sin is usually treated as a title of the holy Prophet.

In connection with the verses praising the Ahl ul Bayt, Ibn Hajar has written verse 130 as the third verse in the eleventh chapter of his book Sawa-iq al Muhriqah and has stated therein on the authority of Ibn Abbas that "ali yasin" (or il yasin) means ali Muhammad. He writes that Kalbi also holds the same view. Fakhr al Din al Razi writes that the Ahl ul Bayt are at par with the Holy Prophet in five things:

(i) In salutation, for Allah said: "Peace be to you, O prophet." and He also said: "Peace be to the ali yasin."

(ii) In invoking the blessings of Allah during prayers, after each tashhahud.

It is not saying that "a god was the word."  That wouldn't make sense.  Let me break it down into three statements.

  1. "In beginning was the word..."
     (en    arche      en  ho  logos)
    • A very simple statement that
    • the Word was in the beginning.

  2. "and the word was with the God..."
      (kai  ho  logos  en
    pros ton theon)
    • This same Word was with God.

  3. "and God was the word." --

    Properly translated as

    "and the Word was God."
     (kai theos en   ho  logos)

    • This same Word was God.

false arguments

  1. But this does not negate the idea that John is speaking of only one God, not two, even though the Jehovah's Witnesses maintain that Jesus is "a god," or the "mighty god" as was addressed above.

  2. Therefore, is there any place in the Bible where an angel is called "a god," besides Satan being called the god of this world in 2 Cor. 4:3-4?

  3. John 20:28 - "Thomas answered and said to Him, 'My Lord and my God!'"

  4.      In the Greek in John 20:28 Thomas said to Jesus, "ho kurios mou, kai ho theos mou," "The Lord of me, and the God of me."  If Jesus was not God, but "a" god, then shouldn't Jesus have corrected Thomas?

  5. Shouldn't Jesus have said, "No Thomas, I am not the God.  I am a god."?

  6. But Jesus did not.

  7. To do so Thomas said to Jesus, "ho kurios mou, kai ho theos mou," "The Lord of me, and the God of me."

  8. If Jesus was not God, but "a" god, then shouldn't Jesus have corrected Thomas?  Shouldn't Jesus have said, "No Thomas, I am not the God.  I am a god."?

  9. But Jesus did not.

the mountain of God

question

what was the point when ' a God/god'  was very much part and parcel of the 'holy bible' per se?

(Exodus 3:1 KJV) Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

and he led the flock to the backside of the desert; of Sinai or Arabia, on the back part of which, it seems, were goodly pastures; and hither he led his flock to feed, which was about three days' journey from Egypt, Exo_5:3 or rather into the desert (d), for Horeb or Sinai was not behind the desert, but in it:

To Horeb - More exactly, toward Horeb. Moses came to the mountain of God, i. e. Sinai,

Mountain of God - Sometimes named Horeb, at other times Sinai. The mountain itself had two peaks; one was called Horeb, the other Sinai. Horeb was probably the primitive name of the mountain, which was afterwards called the mountain of God, because God appeared upon it to Moses; and Mount Sinai, סיני, from סנה  seneh, a bush, because it was in a bush or bramble, in a flame of fire, that this appearance was made.

(Exodus 3:2 KJV) And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of A bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and THE bush was not consumed.

(Exodus 3:3 KJV) And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why THE bush is not burnt.

(Exodus 3:4 KJV) And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of THE bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

(Exodus 3:6 KJV) Moreover he said, I am THE God of thy father, THE God of Abraham, THE God of Isaac, and THE God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

THE ISLAMIC MONOTHEISM

Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah?

5:116. And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah?

he saith: Subĥānaka  - THY HOLINESS/Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it.

  1. Thou knowest - Mā Fī Nafsī  - what is in my mind/SOUL,
  2. and I know not - Mā Fī Nafsika - what is in Thy Mind/SOUL.

PROOF #1 :

Matthew INVENTS A TRINITY INVOLVING MARY, HER SON AND THE HOLY GHOST:

Matthew 001:020 But while he thought on these things, behold,
the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee
1. Mary thy wife:
2. for that [son] which is conceived in her--Mary
3.
IS OF the Holy Ghost.

PROOF #2 :

LITERALLY PROCREATING ANOTHER TRINITY INVOLVING MARY, HER SON AND THE HOLY GHOST:

Luke 001:035 And the angel answered and said unto her [Mary],
1. The Holy Ghost shall
2. come upon thee [Mary],

3. and the power of the Highest shall overshadow
4. thee [Mary], : therefore
5. also that holy thing which shall be born of
6. thee [Mary], shall be CALLED the Son of God.

as if that was not enough, paul invented the trinity of god, woman--the mother of god--GOD BEARER --THEOTOKOS and her son, as per the vatican or the roman catholic church.

PROOF #3 :

galatians 4:4

but when the fullness of the time was come,

made of a woman--"made" is used as in 1Co_15:45, "The first man, Adam, was made a living soul," Greek, "made to be (born) of a woman." The expression implies a special interposition of God in His birth as man, namely, causing Him to be conceived by the Holy Ghost

the ethics of islam bridge the realms of faith on the one hand and practical life on the other - what we call din and dunya.

SECOND, THE FAITH OF ISLAM, IN THE VAST MAJORITY OF ITS INTERPRETATIONS, IS NOT IN CONFLICT WITH THE OTHER GREAT ABRAHAMIC TRADITIONS.

THE SPIRIT OF PLURALISM IS NOT A PALLID RELIGIOUS COMPROMISE.

IT IS A SACRED RELIGIOUS IMPERATIVE.

the infallible rule of interpretation of Scripture to be Scripture itself

<partial evidence only>

please note that when the old testament and the israelite prophets referred to and/or used the phrase, 'our [plural] God'  it meant much more than just 'a racial or national god', who had favored only the children of israel among his creatures.

this was a mistaken assumption only, because therein were tests and trials throughout. most of them failed to recognize the main purpose behind it due to their own bigotries,  prejudices and betrayals.

more often than not, the children of israel had betrayed god. the old testament is a living PROOF AND TESTIMONY of their ongoing treachery in one form or the other.

on the other hand, when and wherever  the god was addressed as 'our [plural] God'  in the old testament,  that reference or invocation always included THE GOD OF ISHMAEL  as well, since every aspect of the israelite existence,  whether spiritual or material - including the prophetic mission of moses, revolved ONLY around ISHMAEL

ISHMAEL  was the axis of the age and the time.

moreover, ishmael was NOT EXCLUDED from any of the divine promises or covenants made with abraham, as the judeo-christian scripture shows.

however, an intelligent perusal of the old testament and some aspects of the new testament will also show without a doubt that according to the god's divine plan, ONLY ISHMAEL WAS THE SOLE AXIS OF HIS TIME.

the aforesaid is not this muslim's personal opinion and/or a biased perspective, but it is an irrevocable scriptural fact, as seen so far.

how were the edomites,  moses & the israelites directly related?

yet, we find several references and warnings to that effect, coming directly from none other than the lord god himself.

THEIR ONLY COMMON ANCESTOR WAS ISAAC, SON OF ABRAHAM AND SARAH.

(Genesis 36:8 KJV) Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

(Genesis 36:9 KJV) And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:

(Genesis 32:3 KJV) And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.

(Deuteronomy 23:7 KJV) Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.;10

Armenian Chronicler of 660 A.D.

To answer that we need to refer to the earliest connected account of the career of the prophet, that given in an Armenian chronicle from around 660 A.D., which is ascribed by some to Bishop Sebeos (Sebeos 1904:94-96; Crone-Cook 1977:6)

The chronicler describes how Muhammad established a community which comprised both Ishmaelites (i.e. Arabs) and Jews, and that their common platform was their common descent from Abraham; the Arabs via Ishmael, and the Jews via Isaac (Sebeos 1904:94-96; Crone-Cook 1977:8; Cook 1983:75).

Sources dating from the second through the seventh centuries reveal the gradual evolution of a monotheistic cult, heavily influenced by Jewish practice and Jewish apocalyptic thought, that in the time of Muhammad (d. 632) succeeded in absorbing neighboring pagan cults in the Arabian peninsula.

003white As early as the second Christian century, a Nabataean inscription identified Allah as the patron deity of an Arab tribe in northwestern Arabia.[50]

See J. T. Milik, “Inscriptions grecques et nabatéennes de Rawwafah,” appended to P. J. Parr, G. L. Harding, and J. E. Dayton, “Preliminary Survey in N. W. Arabia, 1968,” Bulletin of the Institute of Archaeology 10 (1971): 54–58.

The Ecclesiastical History of Sozomen, Comprising a History of the Church from A.D. 324 to A.D. 440, trans. Edward Walford (London: H. G. Bohn, 1855), 309–10.

003white Bishop Sebeos, Histoire d’Héraclius, trans. F. Macler (Paris: Imprimerie nationale, 1904), 94–96. Cited in Patricia Crone and Michael Cook, Hagarism: The Making of the Islamic World (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1977), 6–7.

By the fifth century, two centuries before Muhammad, a Greek source reports Arab communities in northern Arabia practicing a religion that, although corrupted by the influence of their pagan neighbors, resembled the religion of the Hebrews up to the days of Moses.

They practiced circumcision like the Jews, refrained from eating pork, and observed “many other Jewish rites and customs.” The source adds that these Arabs had come into contact with Jews, from whom they learned of their descent from Abraham through Ishmael and Hagar.[51] The earliest known biography of Muhammad, found in an Armenian chronicle dating from the 660s, describes the Arabian prophet as a merchant who restored the religion of Abraham among his people and led his believers into Palestine in order to recover the land God had promised them as descendants of Abraham.[52]

  Bismillahi Rahmanir Rahim

Undeniably, there have been periods in history when   THE GENIUS OF DIFFERENT CIVILISATIONS WAS PERCEIVED AS A THREAT. In recent times also, we have witnessed attempts by antagonistic social, CULTURAL AND RELIGIOUS FORCES to impose their own norms on vulnerable groups.

BE THAT AS IT MAY, THE REALITY IS THAT  OUR WORLD IS PLURALISTIC AND MULTI-CULTURAL, AND DESTINED TO REMAIN SO.  OUGHT WE NOT, THEN, TO FOCUS OUR ATTENTION ON PERIODS OF HISTORY WHEN PLURALISM WAS HAPPILY EMBRACED?

THE QUR'AN
and its Creative Expressions’

The famous verse of ‘light’ in the Qur’an, the Ayat al-Nur, whose first line is rendered here in the mural behind me, inspires among Muslims a reflection on the sacred, the transcendent. It hints at a cosmos full of signs and symbols that evoke the perfection of Allah's creation and mercy.

And surely, indeed We have sent down to you Ayaatin Mobayyinat and the example of those who passed away before you, and an admonition for the righteous.    Allah is Noor[1] of the heavens and the earth. (The) parable of His Noor[2] is like .......Noorun[3] ala Noor[4] (Light upon Light). Allah guides to His Noor[5] (‘Light’. This is an attribute for Allah’s Book) whom He thinks proper. And Allah sets forth parables for mankind. And Allah is All-Aware of all things.  ' AL-KITAB ' DR.KAMAL OMAR'S INTRODUCTION TO THE QURAN (AND TRANSLATION WITH COMMENTARY)

Ya to be the vocative particle, and Sin to be the abbreviation of Insan, Sin being the only "Firm Letter" in the word.

Revelation Of The Quran

The Quran was revealed piecemeal throughout a period of about 23 years. [5, ali kenadian]

The Prophet received the first revelation in 610CE, in the Cave of Hira in
the Mountain of Light (Jabale-Noor), two and a half miles away from the House of Allah in the city of Makkah in Arabia.

The first revelation was the first five verses of Surah (chapter) Al-Alaq:

"Iqra[i][1] bismi [i][2]rabbikalladhi[i][3] khalaq[i][4]
Khalaqal[ii][5] insana[i][6] min alaq.
Iqra[ii][7] wa rabbukal[ii][8] akram.
Alladhi[ii][9] 'allama bil qalam.
'Allamal insana[ii][10] malam ya’lam,"
[total:  2 x 5 qur'anic words]
which means

"Read[i] in the name of your [i]Lord [i]who created[i]
created[ii] man[i] from a clot.
Read[ii], for your Lord[ii] is most Generous,
Who[ii] teaches by means of the pen,
teaches man[ii] what he does not know."

[total:  2 x 5 qur'anic words]

(96: 1-5)

The last revelation was the third verse of Surah Al-Maidah, which was sent down to the Prophet in 632 C.E. : "Al yawma akmaltu lakum dinakam wa atmamtu alaikam ni'mati wa raditu' lakumul islama dinan''," which means "Today I perfected your religion for you and completed my favor to you and have chosen for you Al-Islam as your religion." (5:3)Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening Chapter) was the first complete chapter to be revealed and Surah An-Nasr was the last. [emphasis added, ali kenadian]

The Hebrew form Eloah (אלוה, which looks as though it might be a singular form of Elohim) is comparatively rare, occurring only in poetry and late prose (in the Book of Job, 41 times). What is probably the same divine name is found in Arabic (Ilah as singular "a god", as opposed to Allah meaning "The God" or "God") and in Aramaic (Elaha).

Unitarianism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Unitarianism is the belief in the single personality of God, in contrast to the doctrine of the Trinity (three persons in one God).

It is the philosophy upon which the modern Unitarian movement was based, and, according to its proponents, is the original form of Christianity. Unitarian Christians believe in the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, as found in the New Testament and other early Christian writings, and hold him up as an exemplar. Adhering to strict monotheism, they maintain that Jesus was a great man and a prophet of God, perhaps even a supernatural creature, but not God himself. Unitarians believe in the moral authority, but not necessarily the divinity, of Jesus.

PRACTICE OF  heathenism

Jehovah:
and shalt call me no more
Baali [heathenism]

(Hosea 2:16 ASV) And it shall be at that day, saith Jehovah, that thou shalt call me Ishi, and shalt call me no more Baali.

(Hosea 2:17 ASV) For I will take away the names of the Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be mentioned by their name.

Baali

bā´a-lī בּעלי, ba‛ălī, “my master”): Baal, a common name for all heathen gods, had in common practice been used also of Yahweh. Hosea (Hos_2:16, Hos_2:17) demands that Yahweh be no longer called Ba‛ălī (“my Baal” = “my lord”) but 'Ishī (“my husband”), and we find that later the Israelites abandoned the use of Ba‛al for Yahweh.

BIBLE DIFFICULTIES"
Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. "For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a mans enemies will be the members of his household," (Matt. 10:34-36).

  3. and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

(Matthew 10:36 KJV) And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

(Luke 12:49 KJV) I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

[2](Luke 12:51 KJV) Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

(Luke 12:52 KJV) For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

stupendous question

given the following biblical facts only, how do we ASCERTAIN whether or not, there will be REDEMPTION by or through the blood sacrifice of jesus christ?

(Ephesians 6:8 KJV) Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond [ishmael - muslims] or free [israel - jews & christians].

SPARED NOT  --  reserved unto judgment

(Romans 8:32 KJV) He that SPARED NOT his own Son,

(Romans 11:21 KJV) For if God SPARED NOT the natural branches, take heed lest he also SPARED NOT thee.

(2 Corinthians 13:2 KJV) I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

(2 Peter 2:4 KJV) For if God SPARED NOT the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

(Revelation 6:4 KJVR) And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Genesis 3:15

(Genesis 3:14 ASV) And <יהוה yehôvâh> thy God <אלהים   'ĕlôhîym >; said unto the serpent...

(Genesis 3:15 ASV) and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and HER SEED: HE shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

(KJV) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;it1931 - הוא  hu  shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

But there is a deeper meaning in the text than even this, especially in these words, it shall bruise thy head, or rather, הוא  hu, He; who? the seed of the woman;

Therefore the address is not to Adam and Eve, but to Eve alone; and it was in consequence of this purpose of God that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin; this, and this alone, is what is implied in the promise of the seed of the woman bruising the head of the serpent. Jesus Christ died to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself, and to destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.

From G4154; a current of air, that is, breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively a spirit, that is, (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, daemon, or (divine) God, Christ’s spirit, the Holy spirit: - ghost, life, spirit (-ual, -ually), mind. Compare G5590.

2Co 3:17 -
Now the Lord is that Spirit - The word “Lord” here evidently refers to the Lord Jesus; see 2Co_3:16. It may be observed in general in regard to this word, that where it occurs in the New Testament unless the connection require us to understand it of God, it refers to the Lord Jesus. It was the common name by which he was known; see Joh_20:13; Joh_21:7, Joh_21:12; Eph_4:1, Eph_4:5.

(2 Corinthians 3:18 ASV) But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.

the Hebrew word for Spirit (ruach) is usually feminine
(Genesis 8:9 KJV) But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. (Luke 1:35 KJV) And the angel answered and said unto her, the Holy <hagios> Ghost <pneuma>  shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
(Song of Solomon 6:9 KJV) My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her. (Luke 3:22 KJV) And <kai> the Holy <hagios> Ghost <pneuma>  descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
(Matthew 11:19 KJV) The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

(Luke 7:34 KJV) The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

(Luke 7:35 KJV) But wisdom is justified of all her children.

(Matthew 11:19 Darby) The Son of man has come eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a man that is eating and wine-drinking, a friend of tax-gatherers, and of sinners: --and wisdom has been justified by her children.

could wisdom have been instead the, 'voice [came] from heaven'?

  • and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son;
  • (Luke 7:34,35  KJV) The Son of man
  • But wisdom is justified of her children;
  • (Matthew 11:19 Darby) The Son of man
  • and wisdom has been justified by her children;

(Luke 3:22 KJV) And <kai> the Holy <hagios> Ghost <pneuma>  descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

In most European languages nouns have gender; that is, it is either masculine, feminine, or neuter. The masculine pronouns are used in these verses because 'Comforter' /parakletos/ is masculine. 'Spirit,' however, /pneuma/ is neuter and would properly require the pronoun "it." Interestingly, the Hebrew word for Spirit (ruach) is usually feminine. Grammatically, all Greek pronouns must agree
in gender with the word they refer to.

Then have them make a sanctuary for me, that my Shekinah may dwell among them.
Exodus 25:8

The Jewish Holy Ghost is known as Shekinah. Her name means 'presence', and according to Lynn Gottlieb (2), her descent among the Jews seems to have been the fulfilment of the terms of the alliance between the God of Abraham and the Jewish people. Hence, the Ark of the Alliance was built so that She may dwell among them.

QUESTION

did paul of tarsus deliberately
misconstrue and misinterpret
the OLD testament
and hence, the NEW testament as well?

(Galatians 3:16 KJV) Now to Abraham and his seed were the PROMISES [plural] made. HE SAITH NOT , And to seeds, as of many; but as of ONE, And to thy seed, which is Christ. [19 x 1]

rest assured, the above was a deliberate lie and false interpretation put forth by paul, whose sole objective was  to misguide the masses thereby, as usual.

BECAUSE NO such thing was ever written in the old testament.

on the contrary, the first ever promise made to abram was fulfilled ONLY in ISHMAEL.

(Genesis 15:4 ASV) And, behold, the word of Jehovah came unto him, saying, This man shall not be thine heir;

But he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. [19 x 1]

VINDICATION

2:30. And when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Wilt thou place therein one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee?

He said: Surely I know that which ye know not.

2:31. And He taught Adam all the names, then showed them to the angels, saying: Inform Me of the names of these, if ye are truthful.
2:32. They said: THY HOLINESS /Be glorified! We have no knowledge saving that which Thou hast taught us. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower, the Wise.
2:33. He said: O Adam! Inform them of their names, and when he had informed them of their names,

He said: Did I not tell you that I know the secret of the heavens and the earth? And I know that which ye disclose and which ye hide.

3:71. O People of the Scripture! Why confound ye truth with falsehood and knowingly conceal the truth?

5:15.

  1. O People of the Scripture!
  2. Now hath Our messenger come unto you,
  3. expounding unto you
  4. much of that which ye used to hide in the Scripture
  5. and forgiving much.
  6. now hath come unto you LIGHT from Allah
  7. and MANIFEST Scripture,

collaboration and evidence

(Matthew 15:3 KJV) But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

(Mark 7:13 KJV) Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Luke 8:17 KJV) For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

the irrefutable & irrevocable truth only

  • (Joshua 24:3 DRB)  and I multiplied his seed
  • henry  multiplied HIS SEED by ISHMAEL

 Chanaan

(Joshua 24:3 DRB) And I took your father Abraham from the borders of Mesopotamia: and brought him into the land of Chanaan: and I multiplied HIS SEED[referring to ishmael's seed only]

[Matthew Henry's Commentary on Joshua 24:3]

1.    Hence Abraham's justification is made by the apostle an instance of God's justifying the ungodly, Rom_4:5. (2.) He brought him to Canaan,

  • and built up his family

  • led him through the land to Shechem,

  • where they now were,

  • multiplied HIS SEED by ISHMAEL,

  • who begat twelve princes,

but AT LAST

but AT LAST gave him Isaac the promised son, and in him multiplied his seed. When Isaac had two sons, Jacob and Esau,

(Joshua 24:4 DRB)

  1. AND gave him
  2. Isaac:
  3. AND to him again
  4. I gave Jacob and Esau.
  5. AND I gave
  6. to Esau mount Seir for his possession:
  7. but Jacob and his children went down into Egypt. [7 x 4]

2.    but AT LAST gave him Isaac the promised son, and in him multiplied his seed. When Isaac had two sons, Jacob and Esau,

3.    God provided an inheritance for Esau elsewhere in Mount Seir, that the land of Canaan might be reserved entire for the seed of Jacob, and the posterity of Esau might not pretend to a share in it.

(Joshua 24:5 DRB) And I sent Moses and Aaron, and I struck Egypt with many signs and wonders.

apparently, the holy QUR'AN collaborates the sequence of these events in that precise order. see the irrefragable details cited elsewhere.

ishmael was born to abram some 14 years before the birth of isaac.

however,  ONLY THEREAFTER, was abram's name changed to abraham and not before the birth of ishmael.

  • (Joshua 24:3 DRB)
  • and I multiplied his seed;
  • henry  multiplied HIS SEED by ISHMAEL;

ishmael was the firstborn and had all the rights of the firstborn, under the prevailing customs and traditions.

(Genesis 16:3 ASV) And Sarai, Abram's wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her handmaid, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to Abram her husband to be his wife. [19 x 1]

(Genesis 16:4 ASV) And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: [5 x 4]

(Genesis 16:15 ASV) And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bare, Ishmael. [7 x 1 & 5 x 3]

(Genesis 16:16 ASV) And Abram was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to Abram. [7 x 1 & 7 x 1]

(Genesis 21:13 ASV) And also of the son [Ishmael] of the handmaid will I make a nation, because he is thy [abraham] seed. [21:13 ==> 3 + 4 ==> 7 x 1]
