An isolated colour on a picture can draw the viewers eye away from a drab and dreary picture, to one of momentary power and anticipation. Often the colour give the picture an extra dimension, which will attract the audience initially which will make them view the picture in more detail. The isolated colour must only fill a small area of the picture otherwise it will start to dominate and ruin the effect. |
