Presentation

If our group had the opportunity to redo our presentation there would be several things that we would revise.  Overall, we did well, but would work on using less filler words such as “um” and “like”.  Other things such as body movement, shifting of weight, and distracting mannerisms should also be avoided.  We also would place more emphasis on our educational assets then our demographics.  Another item that was marked down on was our introduction.  As a whole the introduction was very good, but there needs to be more of a connection between the topic and how the audience would find it distressing.   Andrea also was unable to be present during the presentation as she was ill.  However, our group managed to present our proposal without many people noticing her absence.  Our evidence was appropriately cited.  In addition, we were credited for using good evidence to support our claims.  We also used graphics to effectively communicate to the audience our major points and what we found important for them to absorb from the presentation.   Specific members in our group did an exceptional job of being relaxed and poised during the presentation.  We used clear language and volume so as not to confuse or distract from the main purpose.  Furthermore, we are accredited for being “well rehearsed” and maintaining good eye contact.  In conclusion, there were a few minor points that our group had room to improve upon; overall, we presented an effective proposal.
