Do Come, if you could, treading on the stones;                                                  there is no galaxy in the way of my dwelling

                                                            Our Mission

Northern Areas of Pakistan. it is justified to call this area the Paradise on Earth. It is one of the best tourist spots in the world due to its natural beauty.   Unfortunately in terms of development and modernisation, it is not as great. Situated on the foot of world's second highest peak K-2 and world's famous glacier Siachin, the region presents an old pictures of backwardness and under development. Main reason of this backwardness is Kashmir dispute, Siachin and Kargil wars between Pakistan and India. Due to fears of war and keeping tough weather conditions in view, investors and NGOs hardly consider this area for any kind of business or social activity. For the sake of development and awareness, a few citizens of Pakistan thought of doing some good and useful work in these areas. Karsaz Trust is the outcome of that thought, which is working for improvement in lives of those people since 1989 and God willing, this mission will go on and on with whatever is in our hands, with all available resources.

A Brief Introduction of Karsaz Trust

Karsaz Trust is a welfare organisation which was established in 1989. It was properly registered with Government of Pakistan four years later in 1993 as Karsaz Trust. By the grace of All Mighty Lord, it has completed a decade of social service in Northern Areas and also elsewhere in the country in emergencies, like the catastrophic cyclonic havoc on Sindh's coastal area in 1999, calling for attention and reliefs to the victims. In this web site, we are also presenting a report, in glimpses, of our ten year service to fellow beings, regardless of creed and nationality. The use of term "glimpses" is deliberate. It signifies the briefs of the report. Each one giving you information in a few words, of respective field of our services in that far off, mountainous and cold part of Pakistan, representing a long period of struggle which was aided by the local selfless, devoted, honorary workers and the philanthropists. Everyone of the dozens of valleys there,  has its own dialect. But by our universal language of love and complaisance, we appeared strangers to none. The discomforts of the passage through the rocky course in skidding and jerking jeeps just at a tortoise's speed is common experience getting the travelers to remember and appreciate more aptly the verse written at the top.

Do come, if you could, treading on the stones;                                                 there is no galaxy in the way of my dwelling.

Reflecting on our past decade, we have mixed feelings of happiness and regrets both. We are happy over our service on increase every year, by the grace of God. But we regret the curses of poverty, illiteracy and ailments enduring our efforts.

In Northern Areas of Pakistan, there are everyday additions by environmental circumstances to the miseries of the growing human souls, when the days of our own lives are passing with the time. We only wish that our projects for the welfare of our brethren had seen the light of the day, and the saplings sprouting from the seeds we sowed had grown into stout trees with thick shade to people. Amen!

It will be an unforgiving omission not to acknowledge the cooperation of the workers and helpers. It is they who urged those in possession of monetary resources as well as those young or old affording time on to the path of service to the sufferers. We wish we could be a successful team. We grow a strong sense of our limitations vis-à-vis the boundless problems posed to our helpless brethren.

Why should it be only the duty of Government to care for the welfare of the people? We too owe some contributions. Your own NGO reminds you of this and invites you to join it for service in manner you are capable of. Your NGO invites you to visit Northern areas for inspection of works in execution, the existing circumstances and for your counsels, all to realise the objectives of better service to widows, orphans and the needy and to earn their blessings. In the last ten years we could reach about 4,80,000 males, females, young and old, a figure which can be achieved in only two years with the help of Allah Almighty and that of our new colleagues in future.

The sufferers and the destitute await your visit and if you can't, let financial support speak for you in the hereafter. May, Almighty God bless you for your physical and material sacrifices. Amen!
