July 1	1975	Ted Bundy	Shelly Robertson, 24, was last seen at a gas station with a man in a beat up old truck.
July 2	1931	Peter Kurten	Kurten is executed by guillotine. He explains the intense pleasure he looks forward to when he hears his own blood gush from his severed head.
July 3	1941	Paul Ogorzov	Olga Opell is thrown from a train after being raped.
	1946	Neville Heath	Doreen Marshall is beaten and mutilated. She si stabbed numerous times and her inner thighs are slashed.
July 4
July 5	1969	The Zodiac	Darlene Elizabeth Ferrin, 22, and Michael Renault Mageau, 19, are ambushed by the unknown killer as they sitin Ferrin's car at Blue Rock Springs Golf Course. The killer fired a volley of shots into the car. Michael survived the attack, the killer heard him moaning as he walked away and so returned to fire more shots into both victims. Michael survived the attack that killed Darlene. After the murders a 911 call was received the caller said: "I want to report a double murder. If you go one mile east on Columbus Parkway to the public park, you will find kids in a brown car. They were shot with a 9mm Luger. I also killed those kids last year. Good bye"
	1991	Jeffrey Dahmer	Jeremiah Weinberger meets Dahmer, the return to his apartment where Dahmer kills the twenty-three year old and dismembers him.
July 6	1980	Wayne Williams	Anthony Carter, age 9, disappears while playing near his home he suffers multiple stab wounds
July 7	1983	Andrei Chikatilo	Ira Dunenkova, aged 13 is murdered by Chikatilo. The body is found mutilated at Aviators' Park near Rostov Airport.
	1985	Richard Ramirez	61 year old Joyce Nelson is beaten and strangled by Ramirez.
	1988	Robert Yates	Stacy Elizabeth Hawn, 23, is the first prostitute known to be killed by Yates. As part of a plea bargain to save his life Yates told investigators he killed Hawn, who was last seen alive in Seattle on July 7, 1988. Her skeletal remains were found five months later in Skagit County.
	1998	Robert Yates	Michelyn Derning, 47, is found under a hot tub cover by a transient in an area frequented by prostitutes in Spokane's East Central neighborhood. Cause of death is gunshot wound to the head. Unlike the other victims, she was seen alive a week before her body was discovered. The others were found weeks, or sometimes months, after they disappeared. Derning remains the only victim who was not raped and was not transported away from the murder scene and dumped in the outskirts of the city.
July 8	1974	The Zodiac	The last letter by the Zodiac is posted to the Chronicle.
July 9	1983	Andrei Chikatilo	24 year old Lyuda Kutsyuba is murdered and dumped in the country side outside of Shakhti
July 10	1984	Andrei Chikatilo	Thirteen year old Dima Illarionov is murdered and dumped.
	1997	Arthur Shawcross	Art marries his longtime sweetheart Clara Neal.
July 11	1958	Peter Manuel	Manuel is hanged at Barlinnie for murder.
July 12	1963	Ian Brady and Myra Hindley	Ian Brady and Myra Hindley murder their first victim, sixteen-year-old Pauline Reade.
July 13	1912	George Smith	Bessie Williams (the surname, Smith was using at the time) is killed in the bath.
July 14	1974	Ted Bundy	23 year old Janice Ott was last seen helping a friendly man in a cast. Denise Naslund, 18 walked off to the bathrooms around 4:30 pm. She never returned. Both of the women were abducted by Bundy at Lake Sammamish State park
	1924	Albert Fish	Eight-year-old Francis McDonnell is abducted by Fish when his mother goes inside for a short period of time. He is beaten and sexually assaulted and strangled with the suspenders he had been wearing.
	1988	Andre Chikatilo	Zhenya Muratov aged 15 is killed near Donleskhoz
	1997	Fred and Rose West	A pathway built at the site of 25 Cromwell Street is opened to the public.
July 15	1953	John Reg Christie	Christie is hanged in Pentonville Prison
	1991	Jeffrey Dahmer	Oliver Lacy aged 23 is murdered at Dahmer's apartment. His head would be placed in the freezer along with many others and his heart in the freezer.
July 16	1983	Andrei Chikatilo	24 year old Lyuda Kutsyuba is murdered and his body dumped in the country side outside of Shakhti

July 18	1967	John Collins	Mary Fleszar is murdered by Collins.
July 19	1991	Jeffrey Dahmer	23 year old Joseph Bradehoft is Dahmer's final victim. He is strangled and dismembered. His head is found in the freezer.
	1984	Andrei Chikatilo	Anna Lemesheva aged nineteen is murdered
July 20	1946	Leonard Lake and Charles Ng	Lake born in San Francisco to a poor family. There is a history of mental instability in the family. (No Kidding)
	1985	Richard Ramirez	Max and Lela Knieding are shot dead by Ramirez. He also slashes Lela so badly that her head is almost severed. He then moves on to murder 35 year old Chainarong Khovananth and rapes his wife and sexually assaults their 8 year old son.
July 21	1979	Wayne Williams	14 year old Edward Smith was shot with a .22-caliber weapon.
	1941	Paul Ogorzov	Ogorzov stands trial for murder. The trial only lasts the one day. He is to be executed.
July 22	1941	Paul Ogorzov	Ogorzov is executed by beheading.
	1991	Jeffrey Dahmer	Tracy Edwards (male) escapes from Dahmer at his apartment and flags down passing police. who return with the man to the apartment. There is remains of at least 11 bodies found in the apartment.
July 23	1942	Ian Brady and Myra Hindley	Myra is born in Gorton, an industrial district of Manchester, she is the first child of Nellie (Hettie) and Bob Hindley
	1958	Harvey Glatman	24 year old Ruth Mercado is tied up, raped and murdered by Glatman.
July 24	1970	The Zodiac	The "Mount Diablo" letter is sent to the Chronicle.
	1984	Andrei Chikatilo	Sveta Tsana, 20 years old is murdered and dumped in Aviators' Park
July 25	1979	Wayne Williams	13-year-old Alfred Evans is strangled, like many of Williams' victims he is black.
	1991	Jeffrey Dahmer	Dahmer is charged with four counts of murder
	1982	Andrei Chikatilo	14 year old Lyuba Volubuyeva in Krasnodar where Chikatilo is taking a hiatus
July 26	1984	Ed Gein	Gein dies of cancer in Waupan State Hospital aged 78.
July 27	1973	Dean Corll	17 year old Charles Cobble and 18 year old Marty Jones are murdered after being tortured by Corll.
July 28	1990	Andrei Chikatilo	13 year old Vitya Petrov is stabbed and dumped in the Botanic Gardens.
July 29	1987	Andrei Chikatilo	Ivan Bilovetski, aged 12 is murdered by Chikatilo.
	1976	David Berkowitz	Donna Lauira is shot and killed as she sits on her front steps talking to a friend.
July 30	1980	Wayne Williams	Earl Terrell vanishes from a public swimming pool.
	1997	Fred and Rose West	Home Secretary Jack Straw imposes a life tariff on Rose West's sentence. She is never to be released.
July 31	1969	The Zodiac	The killer sends the same exact letter to the San Francisco Examiner, San Francisco Chronicle, and Vallejo Times-Herald confessing to the murders earlier in the month. Each letter also has 1/3 of a cryptogram the killer demands that it is to be published on each newspaper's front page by August 1.
