Round 2 brought Kaneohe one of the greatest hitters of all-time, Nap Lajoie. Nap broke into the bigs with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1896. His career lasted 21 seasons, ending in the same city, but for a different team, the Philadelphia Athletics. He brings with him to Hawaii, a .338 career average, and 163 career triples, Comerica Park could help push that number over 200. Nap led the league in AVG 5 times (1901-1904, 1910), including a mind-boggling .426 in 1901. Kaneohe is hoping he can come close to those numbers one more time. Nap was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1937.

Round 3 of the draft brought highly sought after bat and glove of Charlie Gehringer to the Hammerheads. Known throughout his career as the Mechanical Man, Gehringer spent 19 years with the Detroit Tigers. He didn't get enough AB in his first two seasons to qualify for the WIS database. So, he starts his career with his 1926 season. Gehringer finished in the top-10 of MVP voting 8 times winning one award. He had two great chances in 1929 and 1930 as well, when no award was given. Kaneohe looks forward to the solid defensive play Charlie will provide as well as his batting. Gehringer was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1949.

4th round pick Tip O'Neill actually debuted for the New York Gothams in 1883, but since the database begins in 1885, that will be the first season we'll get out of Tip. We'll see 8 years of incredible hitting before saying goodbye to Tip and hoping we can start over when he re-enters the draft. A career .326 hitter, Tip peaks for Kaneohe in season 3 with a .435 RL AVG. Tip played the majority of his career for the St Louis Browns of the American Association, and for some reason has NOT been enshrined in Cooperstown.

In round 5, Kaneohe selected another HOFer, outfielder Lloyd Waner. Waner played 18 seasons in the Majors, retiring with a .316 AVG. His debut in 1927 with a .355 AVG makes him a player that we will rely heavily on in our first season. Lloyd was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1967.
