Kaneohe Hammerheads
Season 3 draft picks

inaugural draft

1-5         6-10          11-15       16-20       21-25
Kaneohe wishes SS Phil Rizzuto the best of luck as he leaves the team to serve in World War II.  His bat and glove will be missed while the Army utilizes his other talents.

After two seasons, Kaneohe has decided to part ways with OF Mike Greenwell.  While Greenwell improved after the decision was made to part ways, his two years in Hawaii were not quite what management had expected.  We wish him the best of luck and hopefully we'll see him in another team's uniform sometime in the next few seasons.
Rizzuto
Greenwell
Kaneohe gets younger in this season's draft with two young players that we expect to bring along fairly slowly.  There is no rush to get either of them in the lineup this season, but both should see the field on a fairly regular basis, as pinch-hitters and defensive replacements.
Round 1
OF  Grady Sizemore
Sizemore made his debut in 2004 with a late season call-up.  He was sent to AAA in 2005, but was called up to the majors 1 game into the season.  He's been there ever since and just keeps getting better.
Kaneohe has seen female ticket sales shoot up 200% since this pick was announced.
Round 2
1B  Justin Morneau
With their second pick the Hammerheads added some much needed power in the form of Justin Morneau.
With Nap Lajoie currently manning first, Kaneohe can afford to wait on Morneau to develop.  He'll provide a nice pop off the bench this season, and start to see more time in season 4.
