It is believed that the future of this country lie in the hands of the youth. Among all sectors in society, the youth sector is the most dynamic, the most active and the most impressionable. It is therefore vital that as much of the youth sector be inculcated with the values and virtues on the culture of peace in order for past mistakes to never occur again.

KAAKBAY upholds the advancement of peaceful coexistence and understanding between and among the Tri-People of Mindanao. The organization also upholds the basic democratic rights and welfare of the Tri-People of Mindanao. KAAKBAY endeavors to advance national consciousness and social responsibility that will serve the interests of the Tri-People and the Tri-People Youth Agenda; to extinguish divisiveness and discrimination between and among the Tri-People through collective effort; to enhance the level of awareness of the individual Filipino of the diversity if his race and the importance of developing unity among all Filipinos through sustainable programs and activities; to encourage, train and develop the youth for leadership roles that are geared toward the attainment of a culture of peace among the Tri-People; to represent the Tri-People in government and private-sponsored activities and programs that are in compliance to the Tri-People Youth Agenda; to establish a national KAAKBAY Federation composed of city and provincial KAAKBAY Organizations; and to eventually provide for sectoral representation of the Tri-People in local, regional and national levels of government.

KAAKBAY's drive is not only limited to peace-building among the Tri-People of Mindanao. Imbedded in the Tri-People Youth Agenda is the promotion of youth empowerment in all its forms, particularly in adolescent health and youth development, promoting the youth's total well-being by formation of internalization and practice of proper values related to their reproductive and sexual health, awareness and self preservation in the face of threats from drug prevalence in society, and to prepare them to make decisions in their adulthood. These programs are tied up with the organization's drive to help develop the youth for active participation in community organizing and development through the formation of sustainable leadership practices and effective team-building and teamworking. In KAAKBAY, each member strives to make a difference.

It is hoped by the officers of KAAKBAY that the activities and programs enumerated in these web pages would become realities, as they are the primary means of the organization at effectively empowering the youth sector of SOCSKSARGEN area. It is assured that the senior members of the organization will not stop until these activities and programs shall have come to fruition within the year. Miracles happen when you least expect them. KAAKBAY is testimony to that.
