As KAAKBAY continues to soar high in its journey towards the propagation of the culture of peace, it is now time to introduce a new frontier that will effectively touch the emotional, social, tribal, and spiritual aspects of being a Mindanaoan. This is in the form of a unique theatrical presentation such as drama, dance, comedy and other contemporary forms of theater acting which will depict the real conflict situation in Mindanao. The eventual story line of the launching cultural play would be based on extensive research by the theater director and other researchers in order to create a realistic approach in awakening the mindset of every individual towards searching for unity, peace and progress.

Kapagambita is the verb form of the Maguindanaon equivalent of the word KAAKBAY. The Kapagambita Tri-People Youth Ensemble shall be composed of the artists' pool of KAAKBAY members from the different school-based and community-based chapters who had shown potential in the realm of theatrical arts. They shall undergo an intensive training.

The subsequent training involves workshops on basic theater skills, such as human structuring, cascading, and others, as well as elements of dancing (a combination of contemporary and tribal) and musical playing (contemporary and traditional application of tribal instruments).

In comparison with other theater groups in the city, which primarily use cultural diversity as a medium for entertainment only, the KTPYE aims to use the entertainment arts as a medium for values formation and information dissemination based on the culture of peace training. In other words, it is a culture of peace training using and showcasing the entertainment arts, where the lectures and inputs found in the latter are incorporated within the artistic presentation.

The full-length production of the performance or cultural play will be presented in the different schools, municipalities, cities and other places in Mindanao where the succeeding tour/s will be scheduled. This will also serve as a fund-raising project of KAAKBAY to defray some un-anticipated requirement in production materials, props, travel allowances, mobilization expenses and others.

This artistic presentation is also an innovative and creative expression of dialogue - which is one of the corner stones of the COP training.

Forty (40) KAAKBAY members shall be selected to undergo an intensive training in the theater arts under the tutelage of Mr. Alnezzar Ali, faculty member of the Holy Trinity College and Cluster Coordinator of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), as well as Prof. Romeo Narvaez, faculty member of the Mindanao State University - General Santos City College of Arts and Sciences and trainor of the Kabpapagariya Ensemble (KE). These two luminaries in the field of entertainment and theater arts in the SOCSKSARGEN area shall be assisted by KAAKBAY Secretary-General and Kapagambita Tri-People Ensemble Project Coordinator Allan S. Remedios, KAAKBAY Board member Rochelle Claire Podico, and KAAKBAY-Professional member Randy Taojo. Mr. Remedios had at one time been part of the Holy Trinity College Theatre Guild under Mr. Ali. On the other hand, Ms. Podico is one of the best ethnic dancers of the KE, while Mr. Taojo is one of the KE's leading ethnic instrument players. Both had developed their skills under Prof. Narvaez.

After gaining the fundamental skills necessary to start a theatrical presentation, the newly formed members of the KTPE shall now hone and deepen their newly gained abilities under the same trainers in preparation for their first launching presentation. The honing and deepening shall be followed on by constant rehearsals to perfect their parts, as well as to master the rotation of roles in case any untoward absence of a major player shall occur at the last minute.

As they say, "the proof of the pudding is in the eating." Therefore, the potential of sustaining the Kapagambita Tri-People Ensemble Program shall be determined through a major launching presentation. The respective abilities of Messrs. Ali and Narvaez producing top caliber talents is not questioned in this instance. Their impressive reputations can speak for themselves. It is now the effectivity of the members of the Ensemble in transforming the COP training into a theatrical presentation and the impact of such innovative transformation that shall be put to the test. Should this method be highly successful, it would only herald the creation and rise of a new method of spreading a culture of peace. It is then highly anticipated that a subsequent tour would be in the offing.

God willing, should the launching presentation prove successful and effective, the organization would want to share this new breakthrough means of spreading a culture of peace throughout the major urban centers of Mindanao. The tour would entail the finding of suitable venues for the staging of KTPE's cultural show in the cities above-stated, aside from the traveling concerns involved therein. We also anticipate interested entities in the Visayas and Luzon who would later wish to have the KTPE conduct the show in their places.
