Venice
Water, water, everywhere, and not a drop to drink... The beautiful and romantic city of Venice sits on hundreds of water canals. Theoretically, Venice is sinking at the rate of two inches per year. If it continues at this rate, the city won't be around for the next generation to see. But for now, Venice is a place of wonder and charm, and gondolas! You see those absolutely everywhere you go.

Venice is rich with history, having been a powerful city-state in medieval times. It is the home of St. Mark's Basilica and the Palace of the Doges (Ducale Palace) with the famous Bridge of Sighs.

The pages here are using an experimental thumbnail technique. Click on each thumbnail for a larger version of the picture. This will save massive loading time, if working properly. Me, being less than a computer genius, am just learning this technology. Tell me if you hate it or love it and please, please, please e-mail me about broken links. I know how much I hate to see those on other sites.
