Palazzo Ducale (Ducale Palace)
Also known as the Palace of the Doges, the Ducale Palace was the center of government in the Venetian city state. Containing everything from splendid senate rooms to squalid prisons and a unique exterior design, exploring the palace can easily take up your entire morning. I speak from experience. The Ducale Palace is home to the famous Bridge of Sighs and the Paradiso, the world's largest oil painting.
