The Gold Monkey Project
Note: Regrettably, this project and this site have nothing at all to do with
that most excellent of early 80's TV shows: Tales of the Gold Monkey
(aside from the name, of course). But you can find a great fan site here.
Welcome to the Gold Monkey Project (GMP), a venture involving myself and my old friend Timothy "Longshot" Frantz, from the great state of New Hampshire.
Basically, the two of us are teaming up to tell one story, through email correspondence. It's the story of an easygoing fighting machine named Kumalo and larcenous little madman named Chisaibu.
Here's the way the project works. Timothy and I sort of write this story one piece at a time, kind of like a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book, with him laying out Kumalo's actions, as well as the setting and all that, and me saying what I think Chisaibu would try to do in those circumstances.
Now, I recognize that there may not be many people who are interested in reading what Tim and I are putting together here. Then again, I don't think anyone besides myself has ever visited my website, so I don't suppose any of this matters much. In any case, you are free to read what you will (as long as you don't steal our ideas). And if you find this interesting or amusing and wish to join in, by all means email us and let us know so we can include you.
Our story begins with Chisaibu in a small town on the banks of the Moonsea...
